Keep charge and still be able to spin dash
As Sonic, hold B to charge up(must have Light Speed Shoes), then while holding B, hold X to start charging to spin dash. Let go of both buttons and you will spin dash. When you break out of the dash, you will release the charge, so hold B again before you break out. This will not work if there is an enemy nearby, but it will work when near rings. After you do this trick once, your movement speed will revert to normal.
