If you are having trouble passing a level or getting more than one star, you can use the process of elimination to increase your star ranking. Take whichever your best-guess outfit is, go into your closet, and make sure you have that outfit on. Do the photo shoot again and take note of your score for each item category. If you have some categories that you notice are ranking lower, go back into your closet and start substituting items one or two at a time. Do your photo shoot again and note any score increases or decreases. Not only can some items add much higher points to your scores, some also SUBTRACT several thousand. Keep using trial and error with your best guesses until you get your three stars and signature item. This can take sometime, but it's better than guessing randomly since you might be losing several thousand points. Passing the level and getting star rankings isn't just about which items you use, it's also about how many points you get. Keep going until you get enough points for 3 stars. and buy new items only if necessary.
