Part one: How to build a good submarine that goes 50 knots under water
1.) You will need about 500,000 for a medium- large sub with 6 torpedo tubes
2.) You will need about 800,000 for a large sub with 10 torpedo tubes
3.) You will need about 1.2 million for a large sub with 14 torpedo tubes.
4.) You will need about 300,000 for a small-medium size sub with 4 torpedo tubes.
5.) add 50,000-150,000 to these prices if you want light on board guns and torpedoes to finish off a gun- disabled ship.
LETS START BUILDING!!
Start building a one-layer hull of 600 mm armor( the free one). Make sure the hull length is at least 5 times longer than the hull's width so don't make you hull too wide. But if you are making a medium-large sub put a large or angled boiled in the middle of the hull to and there should be at least one empty block on either side of the boiler. Fix the problem if you have it. Make it have at least 60,000 hp before moving on.
EXPANDING THE HULL
Now put 400mm armor (the free one) on your hull's perimeter. Build on TOP of the perimeter, not on the sides!!! Fill the empty spaces inside. Your hull should be now be two layers thick. Now completely surround your boiler(s) with 600mm armor(free kind) because boilers do not work exposed to water anymore. Now add one more layer of 400mm armor( cheap kind again) above the existing one but do not cover the big hump created by the 600mm armor coving in the boilers. Now you are ready for the next step.
ADDING PROPS AND RUDDERS
Your props should be put like the picture. Put a large rudder on the armor between the two props. Tweak it a little.
Well thats all for PART ONE. Part two is coming in a few days with instructions to finish the hull, add weapons and do the final tweak on the hard to-do submarine! Also picture from the game itself will make building easier.
