Guide to Being Stranded without a Boat
There is a glitch that occurs to me commonly while I am sailing in Multiplayer with my 4 blockheads and I find the equator in the middle of the ocean. Next I make a stone platform and build up 15 ladders. I hop back down and fall asleep. The next morning I get 2 across the ocean safely, Dharmabumday gets 1 of his. With one of his trapped on an island, his boat seems to be gone! The next morning I set our with Rayne's boat and Millicent's boat to rescue Marshall Jim. But when I reach the island, MY boat is gone! This is what to do if this happens to you.
Leave chests behind on the island or platform in which you are trapped on containing food. You can also place some dirt and then seeds. If you have enough food to last you a week in game-days, you'll be fine.
You can build a giant wall across the ocean or swim. You can also craft a boat (who ever has a workbench) for 2 wood, 2 linen in a craft bench. Craft benches are built for one dirt and one stick and upgraded by one limestone. In my case I couldn't swim across because sharks attacked Malachi and he almost died.
Build a tiny shack or put on heavy clothing to keep warm. You will also need some kilns, fires, etc...
Benches you should leave on the platform/island in case this should happen:
2 chests, Craftbench, workbench, woodwork bench, Tailors bench, and a ton of dirt.
Don't panic, just live like you normally would if you weren't stranded, just meditate a lot more.
