Most Profitable Trade Item in the Game
At least as far as I've found, the most profitable items are bear pelts once you have the capability for naval trade. Once the Huntress has been leveled sufficiently to start producing bear skins, start buying those babies up. the cost 175credits each which is lofty for a base item, but trust me it's worth it. Once, you have the bear pelts, upgrade your naval capacity to carry max trade items.
Now add each of the bear pelts to trade with St. Augustine, they will be worth nearly 1650 credits! NOTE: DO NOT TURN THEM INTO RUGS. It will drop the value by 500credits, why? Hell if I know, it's dumb. Once you've done that fill up the rest of the spaces with another trade of worth to St. Augustine, like medical equipment, or medical notes. St. Aug carries a weight time of 44min like this, but it's not a big deal once you have 2 naval convoys, also since there's only a 10% trade risk it's unlikely you'll have to deal with a loss.
Now not sure if anyone has found anything better, in terms of trade options, but when you take into account money spent during crafting and stocking. This is nearly double in profits, it shouldn't cost you more than 2500credits per trade, and your return will 22250 credits.
