Unlockables Big PlaysGo on Wi-Fi and play againt someone and if you do any of the tasks below, you will unlock a big play.
For every four big plays you accomplish, a letter is sent to you telling you to go to Cannon island. When you get to Cannon Island, go to the house and you will receive a Golden part for your ship.
Hints, Tips & Tricks Easy rupeesWhen traveling the ocean you may encounter a jellyfish-like creature that hovers high above your ship. When this happens, do not hesitate to shoot it. Each hit is worth one rupee. After about ten to fifteen hits it will multiply, giving you double the rupees if you aim correctly. Once it multiplies, the copies will begin to descend into the sea. Keep them afloat by shooting and hitting them. Fake Link rewards and Windwaker spoofIn the northwestern area, sail to the traveling ship and climb aboard. Talk to the "Doppleganger" and he will tell you that his boat's name is "The Prince of Red Lions". Also his uniform resembles Link's but with a few tweaks. He will the take you as an apprentice and challenge you to a fight. Leave and re-enter the ship. Fight him again and make more hits than last time. Exit and re-enter again. Fight him and make as many hits as you can. Under 100 hits will earn you a spoil (for example, Pearl Necklace, Princess Crown, etc.). Get more than 100 hits and you will get a Heart Container. Aim for 150 or higher. Salvage locationsWhile sailing on your ship you will encounter enemy pirate ships. If you destroy all the ships in the group, the last ship destroyed will leave a red "X" on your map. This is where you can salvage for a treasure. Defeating BlaazLook on the map. You will see the three people Blaaz turns into. Each one will have a certain amount of horns with the boomerang. Hit them in order from least to greatest and they will become Blaaz. Hit him with the boomerang then hit him with your sword and repeat. Faster MovingWhile holding a boss key or force gem, try throwing them and picking them up. Since they do not break when you throw them, you can throw them far away and dashing towards it and re picking it up. Defeating gleeokTo defeat gleeok, you must stetch a tite rope between 2 different tite ropes between the upper left lower right for the red head and upper right lower left for the blue head. After a while gleeok will start to use tidle waves. When he ducks his heads under the water quickly make a tite rope and hop on. Avoid the ice chunks by ethier hitting them with the sword or simpley runing away. After 3 hits on both heads, their masks will be gone. Now you must start grappling a tounge to a post! when they start their breath attack use your grappling hook on both a post and their tounge. Then run in to attack. Repeat as nesasare. Defeating bellumTo defeat bellum you must first use the grappling hook to pull of each piece of oze on him. When he has none left, use it again to pull bellum to you. Attack until he goes up a floor. Before following, take out the bow. Now head up a staircase to find him. You must now shoot all five tentcale eyes. When done, he falls down to the bottem. Do the same as last time pulling off his oze. Note: bellum spits out oze mineions. When you fight him on the 2nd floor and 3rd floor his eyes some times shut. Do the same on the 3rd floor. After the atomatic sequence, return to the first floor. Now do what cilea says, drawing a hourglass after tapping the hourglass on the bottem of the screen.time will freeze. Now you must run up to bellum and swipe at his eye. Repeat. hope you can figure out the rest! Easy RewardsOn the south-western sea, near the Molida Island, there is a small ship. On the ship is the brother of the fake Link. When you get there, he'll be flat on his face surroinded by monsters. Kill off all the monsters and then talk to him. He'll thank you, and then give you a trunk load of gifts. Do this every time you finish a temple/quest. You'll get more prizes each time. The Ho Ho TribeIn the south-western sea, there is a traveler's ship filled with men in white costumes that call themselves the Ho Ho Tribe. Talk to the guy near the front of the ship (near the stairs) and he'll tell you he's looking to buy treasures. Basically, he'll buy your spoils (dark pearl loops, Zora crowns, etc) for way inflated prices. If you leave, won't offer to buy your items anymore. He'll ask to buy a different item from you each time you return after finishing a new quest/temple. In my expirence, he always gives you a better price then the one offered by the treasure teller. The Golden FrogsWhen you're exploring in the north-eastern ocean, you will find an uncharted island in the top right hand side of your map. Scattered around the island are the little guys that go "boing-oing" when hit. They will each give you cripitic messages. Hit the guy in the center of the island and he'll give you a riddle that you need to solve in order to get to the cave. It goes something like this: it stears with rudder, then makes spray, rows with oars, then sees the way! To solve it, go around the edge of the island and draw in the map. Also mark things like ponds and the boing-oing guys. You'll see that it's a whale. After that, everything makes sense. Hit the boing-oings in this order: tail, water spout, fin, eye. A bridge will appear giving you access to the cave. Once inside, speak to the big golden frog. He'll give you a stone tablet. From there, collect the various symbols from the smaller golden frogs, scattered across the sea, in order to be able to warp from place to place. How to get the Swordsman Scroll (long explenation)First, you need to go to the upper right corner of the sea, then go to the traveler ship. You will have to fight some monsters in there. When you're done, a man will come downstairs, ready to talk with you. You may choose from him wat you want to get. Choose the mysterious one. You will get invisible clothing (no to wear) bring the clothing to the travelers ship in the upper-left corner of the sea. the traveler will give you a kaleidoscope. Bring that kaleidoscope to the travelers ship in the down-right corner. There are about seven men inside. Bring it to the one without a telescope. He will give you a guard notebook. Bring that notebook to the travelers ship in the down-left corner. He will give you a wooden heart. Bring that wooden heart to the Wayfarer on Bannan Island. If he's not there, he will be riding with his boat in the down-right corner of the sea. (If he is still in his house, you must do the mermaid-mission first) If you find him, give the wooden heart to him. Then, go back to his house and open the chest. The swordsman scroll is in it. Beedle always new ship partsUse the following trick instead of waiting for Beedle to get new shipment of parts. Save the game. Go into the system calendar then change the date. Beedle will always get new ship parts in. Cannon mini-gameWhen you enter the mini-game, the high score is 2,500 points. It is impossible to get if you only hit blue targets, and it is the same if you only hit red targets. You must hit the red targets five times each to make 100. The only difficult part is that you will have less time to hit the blue target. If you miss one blue target, you should end up with 2,360 points. It does not matter though, because he still gives you a prize. The prize can be Green Rupee (1), Blue Rupee (5), Red Rupee (20), Big Green Rupee (100), Big Red Rupee (200), Ship Parts, Power Gem, Wisdom Gem, or a Courage Gem. A prize of your choice is awarded if you get 2,500 points. Mercay Islands: Reaching the chestTravel to Mercay Islands. If you go southeast on the east side of the island you will see a treasure chest. You cannot reach it by jumping. Find a chicken. There are two of them on the island. Go back to where you see the treasure chest. Back up slightly, then run up and jump. You should be able to reach the treasure chest and obtain the crown that was passed down from the Zoras from generation to generation.
Secrets Crazy ChickensAs you may have noticed, there are a ton of chickens running around Mercay Island. If you want something really amusing to lighten up your day, try cornering one and slashing it with your sword. After a few good whacks, it'll turn red and start pecking you. If you try to run it'll follow. Oh, and a ton of chickens will fall from the sky and go after you too. They DO take away hearts, and they CAN kill you, so don't say I didn't warn you. To stop the chicken madness, simply go inside a building.
