Backyard Baseball Cheats

(Note - these can only be accessed through normal play)

Humongous Memorial Stadium:
Scrolling through the Field selector, you will notice that Humongous Memorial is locked. If your season team makes it to the World Series, you will unlock this field for future use in Single Play, Season Play and HR Derby.

Aquadome:
As above, Aquadome is a locked field. To unlock it, the user needs to hit a Home Run into the water on the three different fields: Frazier Field, Gator Flats and Steele Stadium.

NOTE: this can be done in Season, Single Play and HR Derby.

Abner Dubbleplay:
Unlock Abner Dubbleplay after acquiring all 25 certificates*, over any number of seasons and with any player or combination of players. He is worth unlocking because he has the best skill ratings.

*25 Certificates to Unlock Abner and gain Skill points for Custom Rookie:

Single Game Certificates:
MVP of game
Winning Pitcher
Shutout
No hitter
3 homeruns
Hit the cycle
10 strikeouts
3 stolen bases
5 RBI
Grand Slam

Career Certificates:
10, 30, 80 hits
5, 15, 30 home runs
25, 75, 150 strikeouts

10, 25, 50 stolen bases

Adjust Pitch Direction during wind-up:
When the pitcher is in his/her wind-up you can modify the direction of the pitch by moving the Control Stick in the desired direction.

Controller Accessed Pitching Power-Ups:
All of the pitching power-ups can be accessed using different controller combinations** during the pitcher's wind-up.

NOTE: Fatigue must be turned on for this Cheat.
NOTE: These combos are very difficult to master.

Big Head Play:
To Access the very cute bigheaded players, hold down the Left Shoulder Button with a Controller in slot 4 when a game is launched.

Big Feet Play:
To Access the very funny big-footed players, hold down the Right Shoulder Button with a Controller in slot 4 when a game is launched.

Enter the joystick input as described below and hit the A Button while the pitcher winds up. You can then aim stick for release adjustment before pitcher releases.

Control Stick Rotated Counter clockwise:

Quarter circle - Fang
Half circle - Slowmo
Full Circle - Corn Popper

Control Stick Rotated Clockwise:

Quarter circle - Splitball
Half circle - Freeze
Full circle - Fireball

Control Stick:

Double tap left - Knuckler
Double tap right - Smoke

To get a special bat (in any mode except tee-ball) you must get a double play. You can walk a man. When the other player comes up, he might hit a single. Note: Get a fast pitcher to run to first and tag the player out. Note: Sometimes you may strike out the person or not get him if you have two outs.

Note: You have to be fast. Choose two people and select a third person immediately before the screen changes. This will help you get more hits and home runs.

Hit a homerun into the pool at Steele Stadium, into the swamp at Gator Flats, and into the lake at Frasier Field. The Aquadome stadium should now be unlocked.

If the other team throws the ball to home play and you are on first base, you can run to second and they will not see you.
