Note: Save before each encounter before trying to see the following death scenes.

After beating the game the first time, when starting a new game or playing a Round Two game, a new option appears that allows for Leon and Ashley to wear special costumes. Leon wears an R.P.D. uniform, Ashley wears pop sensation clothes, and Ada wears her black outfit from her mini-game.



Once you have fully upgrades every stat for a specific weapon, you can purchase an expensive "Exclusive" upgrade for that weapon. Note: Killer7 has no "Exclusive" Upgrade.

In Chapter 1-1, along the path towards the village you will run along a white dog trapped in a bear trap. If you help this dog he comes in handy later when you are fighting Los Gigante for the first time. About midway through the fight, you will hear the dog bark and he will come to your aid. Los Gigante becomes distracted, and begins to attack the dog rather than you.



There are three main buildings in the village where you first see the chainsaw not-zombie. The shotgun is in the northeast building, on the second floor of the house.

You can instantly tell if Leon is about to leave an area if the OPEN or context command is printed in green. If the command is printed in white, Leon will simply open the door to another section of the area. Use this to plan out where Leon can leave Ashley to brave the dangers ahead.



The enemies who captures Ashley will seek to leave by the nearest area exit; these are the exits that have the "green" OPEN or context command as opposed to the normal "white" text. If they manage to reach one of these exits, then the game is over. When leaving Ashley to do stuff alone, be sure not to leave her near a green exit door.

When you first enter the area where you fight Del Lago, the monster in the water, head down to the dock. If you shoot the water about eight to fifteen times, you will get see what he thinks of you.



During the Shooting range minigame, shoot 5 targets in a row without missing to unlock the Salazar target in the backgrund. Shoot it and an explosion will run through the area and give you 500 bonus points.



This trick will summon cannon fodder your way. In the graveyard area, with the church where Ashley is actually held, there is a bell tower connected to the church (to its right). Equip this with your rifle. When you aim at a regenerator now, you will see little red areas on its body. These red areas are the locations of the parasites. Shoot each of these areas, the red spots will disappear, then shoot him once in the head. The body should get huge and explode.



When you get to the second wave of enemies when Mike is helping you, destroy the guns with the Infinite Rocket Launcher BEFORE you enter that area. Once you go past the shutters, the Ganados will rush to their posts, but only to die immediately. It will also work with the regular Rocket Launcher, but that only has one shot, so... yeah.



Having trouble beating the Garrador in the cage? All you have to do is press start during the cut scene before he jumps down and you will be left in the cage with only two monks.



After defeating Del Lago (crocodile), after the intermission sequence, go back across the lake where you got the boat. Head up the trail. An intermission sequence should begin. Leon will be surrounded by wolves. Note: You can also go back that way and fight El Gigante, but you must go all the way back to get the Insignia for the church.



The main monsters to look out for are the two chainsaw ladies on stage 1. Once you kill them, they keep coming back. On stage 2 and 3 be careful of the guys with the chain guns. On stage 4, there is a super chainsaw man. He is bigger than the normal one and has a twin bladed saw. He is almost impossible to stop. He does not climb ladders. He jumps to where he needs to be. He will run at you, swinging the saw. Do not run past him. Turn and jump down if you can, or climb something quickly. If you really want to get past him, try using Jack Krauser's transformation, and aim right at him. If you miss, you are dead.



When you are walking in the room in the village, you will see an intermission sequence where the chief chokes Leon, but then lets him live because he has the same blood as them. After it ends, go back in the same room where he just choked you. He will pop out from behind and step on you. Then, he gets shot with two bullets. When he turns around, Ada is at the window in a black costume, and she escapes quickly. Note: The middle of the castle level is where you actually meet her for the first time.



When buying upgrades for your gun, always look at your gun information beforehand. For example, if your gun has a gunpower of 10.8 and you see that the upgrade reads lvl 2 --> 10.5, you are basically losing out and wasting money.



This trick really only works up until you get to the castle where the enemies get stronger. The easiest way to save ammunition is to use your knife frequently. Most of the enemies have knives, axes, pitchforks, all sorts of melee weapons. Instead of trying to shoot them, just step back from the attack so that they stumble. You will get the command to kick them. Do so, then you can just knife them. By time they stand up and are ready to kill you, you will have knifed them to death.



Wait until you are low on ammunition before upgrading a gun. The replacement gun will always have a full clip, giving you extra bullets that otherwise may be difficult to find.



There are many locks on doors. Instead of shooting the locks and wasting ammunition, pull out your knife and cut it off. The same can be done for boxes.



Tap A(2) when the "Open" action appears to kick open or down some doors instead of nudging them by hand. This will give you an advantage, as any enemies behind the door will be sent flying back.



Use the D-pad and Analog-stick together to aim faster than normal.



To avoid getting into close-quarters situations, especially with dynamite-toting Ganados about, wait you are just out of sight at the top of the ladder before jumping down if there are any enemies close by. Usually they will attempt to climb the ladder to wherever you are. Once they reach the top, it takes a moment for them to get off the ladder. Pick them off at your leisure. This is much easier than dancing around avoiding thrown hatchets and the occasional arrow. It is also fun to knock the ladder down with several of them climbing up. The same applies for enemies lurking around hallway corners. Wait for them to peek around the corner and shoot them before they can mount any offense. Always try to stash Ashley in a safe place before fighting a mob of enemies.



You can kill the merchant at any time in the game. Under the normal difficulty setting, he just dies then comes back at the next place, or when you leave the room and come back in. However, under the professional difficulty setting, once he dies, he remains dead. When you see the merchant and his eyes are glowing red, you can take the mine thrower and shoot a couple of darts. Most of the time he will turn into a blood stain on the floor.

In terms of power, the Red 9 is the most powerful handgun. It has about power 6 or 8 when you get the exclusive upgrade for it. It has decent speed, and good capacity (20 rounds full upgrade). The Punisher is good for crowd control because of the penetrating rounds, but otherwise use the Red 9. The normal 9mm Handgun in the beginning is average, although it is best with headshots because the exclusive upgrade raises the critical headshot ratio. The Blacktail has no obvious weaknesses or strengths, and is a very versatile gun. The best handgun is the Red 9. Its power, speed, and lots of ammunition make it a very good choice. Fully upgraded, the Red 9 has about the power of the shotgun in every round.



It is possible to find ammunition for the Mine Thrower. Kill any normal enemy with the Mine Thrower to yield one dart for ammunition.



Whenever you kill a snake, a chicken egg will be your reward. Move the pointer on to a white chicken egg, and there will be an "Equip" option. When you equip the egg, Leon is shown on the inventory screen tossing the egg up into the air and then catching it. Furthermore, if you exit the screen and continue playing, Leon will throw the egg if you press R then A, as per the protocol of aiming his firearm. The egg will fly very far and will not affect anyone.



If you want the secret treasures in the areas, go to the merchant and buy the treasure map. Check the map. The treasures will displayed as a star. If you cannot see them while you are standing by an star, check around and look for something sparkling. Then, shoot it and grab your treasure.



Before you fight Del Lago, walk onto the dock where the speedboat is found. You can fire at Black Bass. Take the boat out to recover them. However, be careful; if you fire too many shots Del Lago will eat you at the end of the dock.



While at the beginning after killing the man with the axe, run up the stairs. Do not jump out. Turn around and get the handgun bullets. Then, shoot the window until it breaks. Try to kill the two men outside of the window. If you do not kill them, they will run to the front door. After that, run back down the stairs and you should see a window. Dive out of this window. You will see the men inside the house. The door is still closed. Kill the three men and you can go on the trail with full health.



If you mix a Green, Red, and Yellow Herb, you can sell it for a lot of money, or use it to restore health and increase the maximum health. Use it when you are low on health so that you do not waste the health recovery from it.



Once you gain access to the tunnel with the merchant beyond Pueblo, return to the farm area and wait for the chickens there to lay eggs. Exit and re-enter to begin the same process over again. After you fill your inventory, you can return to the nearby merchant to sell your eggs. White chicken eggs sell for 300 Pesetas, brown eggs for 600 Pesetas, and golden eggs for 3,000 Pesetas.



After you kill the hatchet guy as soon as you start the game, go upstairs to the window. Do not jump out. Instead, take out your pistol and shoot the glass out. Call Ashley again and look for the prompt to "Catch" her. Have Leon move as far back out of the building's archway, just enough so that he is outside but the "Catch" prompt is still there.

Catch Ashley. The camera will have trouble adjusting to following her. When both her and Leon are standing normally, both of them will be hovering 6 feet off of the ground.

You can now run around the Village above the ground, until you try to leave (the path with the beartraps), and then fall back down again.
