Game Hints

Easy caps

Once you have found all the personality modules and backup function modules in the Sink, you will discover that the book chute makes blank paper. This is useful for the skill book recipes also scattered around Big MT. The sink in the Sink will turn any empty bottle (whether it is milk, soda, or alcohol) into a bottle of pure water. At first this does not seem significant, however if you go to the Sunset Sasparilla Plant in the Mojave there are hundreds of empty bottles which sell for .09 bottlecaps. However, purified water can sell for 20 bottlecaps. Empty the plant of bottles and turn them into bottled water then sell them for a lot of caps.

Game Easter Eggs

1984 reference

Tell the book chute that destroying prewar books is destroying culture. It will tell you that if its indoctrination module was installed it would handle you. However since it is not installed, you will have to indoctrinate yourself and start with a cage for your head and a bag of molerats. This is a reference to a torture/indoctrination method from George Orwell's 1984.

Doctor Who reference

In Big MT with the Wild Wasteland trait, while fighting a Trauma Over-ride Harness (hostile skeletons in rubber suits), you might see one stop shooting, and hear "Hey, who turned out the lights?". Note: This was encountered this in the cluster of hexagonal research buildings. This is a refernece to Doctor Who, when they are in "the Library" and people are somehow eaten and turned into animated skeletons in spacesuits. Note: Watch the series with David Tennent.

ManSour, Mar 22, 2016

Wizard Of Oz reference

Your character learns that his brain, spine, and heart have been removed. This makes him brainless (the scarecrow), heartless (the tin man), and spineless (the cowardly lion).
