Start a game, press [Enter] to enter talk mode, then type fps. The ping time, frame skip , and frames per second will appear in the upper left corner. Note: Type /framerate in v1.10 and higher of the game.



Press [Enter] to open the chat screen, then type SoundChaosDebug to hear a sound. To return to normal, repeat the code.



Press [Enter] to open the chat screen, then type nopickup. This is useful when trying to navigate through areas with a lot of items on the ground. To force an item to be picked up, hold [Alt] while moving over it.



Press [Alt] during game play to view all items on the floor. The names of the items appear directly above them.



Right click on your Diablo II desktop icon. Left click on the shortcut tab. Enter the code in the target line after the quotes. make sure there is a space between each code , and a space between the last quote and first code.

These codes currently work as of the 1.11b patch.

If you're greedy and want rare/set everytime, go ahead and kill any of the 3 prime evils. U should get the best items the first time u kill them. After the first time, search for MF% (Magic Find) items. Reach at least 100% and go kill the 3 brothers over and over again. I did this around 15 times and 80% of the time, I got rares, 15% of the times set items, and once I got 5 good Magic Items. If u have 300%+ MF, rares or sets are guaranteed and possibly uniques will spawn every few times.



When you die, do not save and quit. This gives you the advantage of starting next to your body. However, if you died fighting a Boss, unique, or champion monster, you must face them with full health, rather than whatever you whittled down to before.



When you gamble with someone in the game (for example, Gheed), if you get an item you do not want hold [Alt] and press [F4] to exit the game without saving it. Note: Only do this if you have not done anything significant in the current game or you will lose that progress.



Use the following trick to duplicate anything (items, gold, potions, etc.). Have a friend playing with you in multi-player mode. Take the character you want to copy items from and change the file attributes of the character save files to read only. When in the game anything you do will not be saved. so When you drop something and your friend picks it up, the game will not record you as dropping the item. Save and exit and repeat. When you are done, turn off the read only attribute so your progress in the game can be saved as usual.



This trick requires a oil potion. Equip the oil potion, go out of town, and throw it at someone. While throwing it, make a Scroll Of Town Portal and enter it. You may need to try this a few times before the person is actually dropped.



You need a fire sorceress. Increase all fire skills (Fire Wall works well), then teach her one Teleport and one Frost Nova. When you are ready, first use your Teleport to get to her. Quickly use your Frost Nova (making her slow down), then use your Fire Wall, which does lots of damage per second.



Try to maximize Iron Maiden, Bone Armor, Bone Prison, and Poison Nova. Put the rest of the skill points into Skeleton Mastery, Golem Mastery, Raise Skeletal Mage, and Fire Golem.



Make sure you know raise Skeleton/Magi. Make sure there are not any corpses near you. Click on a far edge of the screen. When you start walking or running towards that location, use the Raise spell on the opposite side of the screen. It will look as though you are sliding.



The Amazon can repeatedly shoot arrows without having to press the mouse button constantly. Hold the mouse and run slightly in any direction. Then quickly, press [Shift]. Do not release the mouse button. You will immediately stand firm on the ground while shooting arrows constantly. This is effective for a large crowd of enemies. It works for the same with other Amazon attacks.



First, select the spell that you want to be at the end of the categorized line of spells (the icons of the spells after pressing S). If you want to make a certain spell be all the way to the left, then first select the spell you want moved, cast it once, then [Esc]. Save and exit the game. Then, go back to your character's game and the spell should be moved. This is convenient if you like to be organized, or if you have your favorite spells at the end.



If you die and lose all your weapons, armor, and items, press [Esc] and select "Save and Exit" before you doing anything else. Reload your game, and there should be a dead body next to you. Examine it, and the message <your name>'s carcass or something similar will appear. After you do examine it, you will get all your equipment and items back. Note: This may not work with gold.



The easiest way to increase the value of an item is to have it identified by a Identify Scroll or by Deckard Cain. The value will immediately increase.



To raise your Magic Find to a very high level, place all of your gems in your inventory (the more, the higher your magic count will get). Any state of gem is acceptable. Having only one gem is also acceptable. Go out of town and kill some enemies. There is a very high chance that you will get more gems. This can quickly multiply your gems and bring your magic count so high that you can find up to three rings in one chest in the Cold Plains in Act 1 under the normal difficulty setting.



Create a Sorceress, then max out her Firewall. Trade some items for a good Tarnhelm, some ChaceGuards, and other +% to Magic Find items. You Sorceress should be at about level 45. Then, go to Channel Cows/Cowz and wait for someone to make a game. Join that game and Firewall all the cows. Your experience will increase and you will get unique items. Do not duel or do anything dangerous with this sorceress, as you will get killed.



Go into the Blood Moor in Nightmare mode. Fight some zombies, quill rats and the little red demons. They will be extremely difficult, but when you kill a simple zombie Boss, red demon Boss or quill rat Boss you will get a rar item (for example, a unique, gold or blue). Also, the rouge encampment has good weapons.



Use the following trick to get almost any desired item. Go to the person in your highest Act that gambles (for example, Gheed or Jamella). Go to gamble. A list of good items will appear. If you do not see anything desirable, exit, then go to gamble again. There will be a new list of items for sale. Repeat the process until you have found what you want.



If you find an item and you are going to sell it, repair it first so it is worth more gold. This increases the price of the item selling by 50%. You could save about 1,000 to 2,500 gold early in the game. Note: The more valuable an item is, the higher the price you can sell it for after repairing.



If you want easy runes quick here is a little trick i picked up. Go to your farthest difficulty (the farther the difficulty the better the runes) then go and redo the 4th quest in act one. When you kill the countess 2 or 3 runes always appear! If your in hell you can even get some of the better 4 letter runes!



This is the funniest glitch i have ever seen in well made games like this and im still surprised no one but me knows bout it! Found this out by just being bored (see incometence pays) ne way when your walking in town (only works in town) move your curser to the desired destination click and hold the left mouse button then hit shift. Your character will seem to float! try spinning your character by holdding and moving the cursor around. Your player will not move to a differant location if u move your mouse around. And PLEASE IF YOU ARE FROM BLIZZARD DO NOT FIX THIS THIS IS 2 FUN TO DELETE!



Successfully complete the game to get the Horadaric Cube. Then, obtain "Wert's Leg" in Tristram (where you go to rescue Deckhard Cain). Go to the northwest part of the town and search the boy's body. Place both Wert's leg and a Tome of Town Portal in the Horadaric Cube, and it will open a portal to a hidden level filled with axe carrying cows. Do not go through the portal until you are over level 35 because the cows are quite numerous and strong.



Join a Battle.net or other multi-player game and join a party. You and your partner will share experience. The more people in the party, the more experience everyone gets.

Use the following trick to get eight times the experience. The host of the game must do the following. Press [Enter] to enter talk mode and type players 8. Then, press [Enter] and type player 8 in a different message box. Note: Although you will get eight times the experience for each kill, the monsters will also be eight times stronger. You can gain experience quickly but you must be careful to avoid dying. Note: This trick only works off of realms and when you are at most two screens away from your ally to receive free experience. Also, this cannot be done with the v1.10 patch or later.

Note: The /players 8 and /player 8 trick does work for single player -- just type them in and prepare for some tough enemies.

When playing online, the easiest way to get to a higher level is to get to Act 5 then go to Blood Runs. To find out the name of the games, go to chan bloody and type norm if you are in normal, nm if you are in nightmare, or hell if you are in the hell difficulty setting. Wait for someone to give a name (for example norm=normbr). In the join game option type normbr and enter the game.

Choose any kind of character then rush through the normal difficulty by doing the following. In Act 1, kill Andariel with a party or a strong friend. In Act 2, get the Amulet Of The Viper, the Staff Of Kings and the Horadric Cube. Make the Horadric Staff and defeat Duriel. In Act 3, kill the High Council and get WP to kill Mephisto. In Act 4, kill Diablo. In Act 5, defeat the Ancients, then keep doing Baalruns and kill Baal's minions (which give a lot of experience) until you are at about level 40 to 50 (normal difficulty), 70 to 80 (nightmare difficulty). Then, go to the next difficulty. Note: Make sure that you do not kill Baal himself (except in Hell) until you have a high enough level. Otherwise, you will not be able to see the games of the previous difficulty anymore.

One way to kill /players 8 monsters is to make a necromancer. Put 1 or 2 points on Skeleton, then put about the next 5 points on Skeleton Mastery. Your skeletons will do enough to kill The Smith normally.
