First you have to find your "Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data" folder. It is probably under My Documents. Once you open the folder, look for the file called "Skirmish" (NOTE: the file is NOT called SkirmishStats). Once you open the file, look for the section labeled "StartingCash". When you see that section, you can enter in any number, no matter how big or small, it will work. When you start the game and go to the skirmish setup menu, the starting cash section will NOT say how much you typed in. But wait once you start the game, the cash will be there.

As GLA Dr. Thrax, upgrade to Anthrax Gamma. After that, you will need four Battle Buses. Fill two of them with Toxin Rebels and the other two with RPG Troopers. This force will be very difficult to defeat because the Toxin Rebel buses will destroy all infantry in range, while the RPG troopers will destroy every tank, aircraft, and even most buildings very easily. Also, they can attack from behind and in front at the same time.

Create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "skirmishstat.ini" file in the game folder. Replace the lines with the entries below to get all medals:

Line an area with a sequence of Patriot, then Firestorm Base, Patriot, and keep going. Then fill the Firestorm Bases with four Pathfinders. This will help you take out infantry without trouble of Flashbangs or other hazards.

Create six Emperors or Overlords, depending on the General you are playing as. If you are using Overlords, upgrade two with Bunkers and fill them with Tank Hunters, upgrade two with Propaganda Towers, and two with Gattling Cannons.

Play as the U.S. laser general against the Chinese infantry general. This also works well on the eight-player maps. Sit up so that every man is for himself. On the hard level, the infantry general sends waves of soldiers who are easily mowed down by the laser turrets. Be quick to obtain the particle cannon so that you can knock out the nuclear missiles.

Note1: special and super weapons may still hit your base.

Note 2: there are other ways to defend your base, i just think this is the best one ;)

USA:
build 3-4 fire bases at each entrance to your base. then put three missile guys and a sniper in each. put 2 avengers behind each base, and keep a tomahawk around to deal with artillery.

China:
build bunkers at each entrace(build more than 2) and fill them with 2 Red Guard and 3 rocket guys. then keep a nuke cannon around to take out enemy artillery.

GLA:
build a solid wall of stingers around your base, and put a tunnel network somwhere so you can get in and out of you base. keep a rocket buggy or scud aroud to deal with artilery.

In skirmish, have you as Dr. Thrax(toxin) or General "pinpoint" Townes(laser), put your enemy as general "anvil" shin fai(infantry). if you are Dr. Thrax, the toxins will kill all the infantry (intead of stinger sites use toxin network) if you are general townes the laser defense turrets will mow down any men that come near.

TIP: there is a best general for each country; AMERICA:GENERAL "PINPOINT" TOWNES(LASER), CHINA: GENERAL TSING SHI TAO(NUKES), G.L.A:DR.THRAX(TOXIN)

1. build a good base that can take care of itself

2. build 4 tunnel networks in the base (front, back, left and right)

3. build 4 battle busses and fill them as: 1 full of workers, 1 with 2 rpg gaurds, 2 rebels and 4 workers and 2 with a mix of soldiers (rebels, rpg gaurds, hijackers, jarmen kell but not terrorists) and put them in a tunnel network.

4. than put in 2 quad cannons, 1 tank and 1 rocket buggy#

5. place a sneak attack in one of the other corners of the map thats either to the left or right (not dianganol which you will find out why later)

6. make all your units exit the sneak tunnel and make all you men exit the busses.

7. build a command center, barracks, palace, arms dealer supply stash (if there is supplys there), black market and a few stinger sites

8. make that a good base aswell, then start building stinger sites, barracks and arms dealers going down connecting the 2 up

9. that way if one of your bases is hit you can make all your units evacuate it into the middle so they wont get hurt and if one base gets destroyed, you still have another

10. i forgot to mention but i guess you would have anyway; build a scud storm in each one.

11. now you can build a third base(using the same tactic) so the enemy is cornered and then launch scud storms at there base, scud launcher and rocket buggys should be sent forward to destroy any stinger sites which are at the front.

NOTE: THIS TACTIC WILL BE HARDER IF YOU ARE AGAINST PRINCE KASSAD!!!!!!

Create hundreds of red gaurds(all in one place) and tank hunters and send in waves of men, be against USA because their patriot missiles are really weak against infantry, or be against USA SUPER WEAPON

If you are GLA, send in jarmen kell and hundreds of angry mobs(still against USA)also, you can send in some hi-jackers if you are GLA.

To get a worker to a place really quick, make him get on a combat cycle and when you get to where you want him to go, make him evacuate it, or you could do it with a technical, if there is a few you want to move quickly.

Put jarmen kell on a cobat cycle, he will go faster (obviously) and he will still be stealthed, and can still shoot, and shoot the drivers of the vehicle thing.

Have pathfinders in them, because the USA has no decent anti infantry defence, and the rangers dont have a very good range, but the pathfinders can shoot enemy soldiers before you even see them, also have patriot missile systems like a wall, in fact;

Another good tip:
Have a wall of patriot missile systems, and a wall of fire bases behind, and have a small gap in the middle of somewhere for your units to move out, and fill the fire-bases with pathfinders (like above)

Play as GLA toxin general. Then train 2 toxin tractor, upgrade to anthrax gamma, train 4 scorpion tanks with rockets upgrade . The scorpion will mow down the tanks, and toxin tractor will be the additional damage.

Play as GLA. have the ambush ability. build 4 to 8 scorpion , 8 quad cannon and 10 combat cycle filled terrorist. Get enemy busy attacking tank and quad,then take terrorist cycle take out the buildings. Have fun :)

To have the unbeatable air force you must build many towers to protect your base and your airfield. After that build 5 airfield then buy all slots of raptor then label per 2 planes team 1 to 0 then attack there base. For every large building choose 2 teams so it surely be destroyed.

When playing as GLA, don't buy any General upgrades yet. When you reach LV3, immediately spend all your points to get the Bounty ability. This will allow you to earn a large percentage of funds per enemy killed. More expensive units return more funds.

Use cheap suicide units to kill more or just put up defenses to repel any enemy attack.

Build a wall of Patriot's at the defensive area of your base and behind it put Fire base's and fill them with Pathfinders (Snipers) now behind that build another wall of patriots and make sure theres no room to get near the fire base's then build more Fire base's so that even if your first wall is destroyed you will have a backup wall, i guarentee that it will be very hard to get past this defense, also if you are facing GLA on a map with walls seperating your two armies, build defenses along the walls and in the corners, this will assure your base cannot be broken into.

Enables the user to fire continuous SCUDs from his/her SCUD launcher anywhere on the map.

1-Pay for a SCUD storm and leave it building at 0% (simply move the worker away from construction).

2-Train a rebel and label it team '2'. Then label the SCUD storm that hasn't been built team '1'.

3-Hold 'shift' and then press '2' followed by '1'. Now let go of 'shift'.

4-Now, label them both at the same time team '1' (press 'control' and '1').

5-Hold the control button (force fire) if there is an attack cursor you have done it correct, if there isn't an attack cursor repeate steps 1-4.

6-Unselect them (right click) and tell your worker to carry on building the SCUD storm.

7-Once your SCUD storm is built press '1' and force fire anywhere on the map, the shroud will not be revealed but the SCUDs will be fired without the timer hitting 0!!!!

8-Happy SCUD bugging! (works on multiplayer games too!!)
