This game includes a new life form for your sims to take on: vampires! To get your Sim to be a vampire, you must find one on a community lot in Downtown, and befriend them. This will make them bite you. Now you can turn other Sims into vampires, too! (But only if your good friends with them; I'm pretty sure they won't even let you get that close to them if they hardly know you!)
In case your Sim just can't find that special someone, or if they know no Sims if their age and gender pfreference, just pick up the phone and dial "Services". Now select Matchmaker from the screen. Invite her over, and you can now do different things with her. For one, you can by "Love Potion #8.5", and a vampirism antidote. You can also set up a blind date, depending on how much $$$ you give her. You also select whether you want the date to be with a guy or girl.
NOTE: Having trouble spotting the matchmaker after you invite her? Look around your whole lot, as she will NEVER go directly to the door. She'll more likely stand off by the edge of the lot.
To make sims super happy, a good family to start with may consist a mother with the family aspiration and a father with the pleasure aspiration (married sims with the romance aspiration may want to kiss or ask other sims on dates in downtown, which may make the wife divorce). 2 children (they'll have the grow-up aspiration) will be great.
Give the home a hot tub and all the basic needs (beds, fridge, pc, etc). Use the motherlode cheat. Give them a television and a couch a bit away. Do whatever you feel may make your sims happy. and don't forget a some decorations, phones and fire alarms! decorations are needed to higher their enviorment level, a phone can higher social levels and fire alarms can...uh, save people.
Put the married couple in the hot tub and make the kids play cops+robbers, tag, etc. Make the couple cuddle and try for baby. If done correctly, the sim will be pregnant. most of the time, sims with the family aspiration look forward to having a baby or (after 1 birth) having 10-20 children.
after this, make the kids play with the parents and (later in the pregnancy) talk to the 'baby'. Adults can also talk to the baby.
those are basics.
