Enter the statistics screen for the first character and pool the gold from the entire party to this individual. Remove this character from the party, then load him again. Pool all of the gold to the next character in the party. Repeat this procedure for all party members, then turn off the computer without saving the game. When the game is reloaded, every character will have an amount of gold equal to that previously pooled by the entire party.



I played BT2 through many years ago on the C64 and just recently picked it up again, this time on the PC. What loads of fun! Since I only had a dim remembrance of the quests I still faced some challenges but lots came back to me. More fun than just getting another segment of the wand, though, was leveling up my characters to become superheros, knowing what lay in wait for them at the end... Then came the awful trouble that you need 3,000,000 experience points to go up another level for your archmage, and so he stays way low compared to the other characters (who continue to level up with every 200,000). So I tinkered around and discovered an easy way to build an Archmage with 1000+ Spell points, and of course hit points to match! If you are playing through the game for the first time it might ruin it for you (hurt your sense of immersion, as spoilers do), so please consider yourself forewarned! This is best for those who have already done the game like me and just find adventuring around is so much fun but you would like to bust up those guys in Destiny Stone a bit easier... Key - The Bloodmen of Oscon's! They drain down your "levels" without removing spellpoints, making leveling back up a whole lot easier and amassing a huge amount of power without billions of experience points. Ok, there are a number of other critters that also drain the levels in other dungeons, but as you know the Brockters are an easy way for experience and it lets you do it all in the same place. If this sparks a desire to pick the game back up but you are starting from scratch, obviously in order to do this you need some pretty tough guys around your mage before you can use this tip. Beat the Starter Dungeon first, with four monks, then keep working them on the doors in level two until you are L8 armor class when your bard plays Sanctuary Score. Then go directly to Grey Crypt and fight a bunch of critters there (most use only use melee, but stay away from breathers!) until you get enough special items and experience to survive in Oscon's and really get the big experience boosts. Beating Grey Crypt gives you the segment 6, the most useful piece of the wand anyway (IMHO), and from there on the rest are a breeze as long as you can get the riddles and such!
