Doom Cheat Codes

Cheat mode (command line):

Start the game with the doom -devparm <command line parameter> command line to activate the corresponding cheat function.

Note: The parameters marked with an asterisk (*) do not require -devparm in the command line. Most of these parameters can be mixed and matched to create different effects. For example, start the game with the doom -devparm -wart 1 8 -record demo01 -respawn command line would record a demo on episode one, level eight, with monster respawn. Finally, press [F1] during development mode for a 256 color screenshot in .PCX format.

-altdeath	Activates DeathMatch v2.0 (v1.4 and above)
-timedemo <filename without .LMP>	Calculates number of times screen is redrawn during a demo
-devparm	Developers mode
-nomusic	Disable background music
-nosound	Disable sound
-nosfx	Disable sound effects
-nojoy	Disable the joystick
-nomouse	Disable the mouse
-debugfile <name>	Dump debug info to debug<name>.txt
-phase	Enable phase shifting on PAS16
-opl3	Enable stereo music through OPL-3 on PAS16
-avg	End the game after twenty minutes
-respawn	Enemies respawn in non-Nightmare*
-turbo <1-255>	Increases the speed of the marine
-noblit	Internal bugging switch
-nodraw	Internal bugging switch
-comdev	Internal development, texture mapping
-regdev	Internal development, texture mapping
-shdev	Internal development, texture mapping
-wart <1-3> <1-9>	Load PWAD named ExMy.wad
-fast	Nightmare mode without respawn*
-nomonsters	No monsters*
-playdemo <filename without .LMP>	Play back recorded demo*
-config <file name>	Read an alternate configuration file*
@<filename>	Read in a command line parameter file
-recordfrom <0-5> <filename>	Record a demo from saved game*
-record <filename without .LMP>	Record demo until you finish or die*
-maxdemo	Set maximum size of LMP recording*
-right	Set up a network terminal for "right view"*
-left	Set up a network terminal for the "left view"*
-episode <1-3>	Start at indicated episode*
-skill <1-5>	Start at indicated skill level*
-deathmatch	Start NetDoom in Deathmatch mode*
-loadgame <0-5>	Starts from indicated saved game*
-nodes <1-4>	Starts NetDoom with indicated player amount*
-file <.wad filename>	Use external PWAD file*
-cdrom	Uses C:\DOOMDATA directory for data
-GUS1	Uses new GUS instrument mapping (default)
-GUS	Uses original GUS instrument mapping
-warp <1-3> <1-9>	Warp to episode (1-3) level (1-9)

idmus<level number>	Change music to indicated level

iddqd	Invincibility
idbeholdl	Light amplification visor
fhshh	monsters dont see players except if they are hurt or hear a gunshot (only works for doom 95)
idbeholdv	Temporary invincibility
idbeholdi	Temporary invisibility
iddt	Toggle full map; full map and objects; normal map
idspispopd or idclip	Walk through walls
IDCLEV##	Warp to Episode #, Level # (replace the first # with the episode number and the second # with the level number)
