Aion: The Tower Of Eternity Tips & Hints

Stolen Jewelry Quest (Verteron, Tolbas Village)

Part of the quest requires you to collect Naia's stolen jewelry from the mobs in Dukaki Mine. Each mob drops a unique jewelry for this quest.

Odella Recipe Quest (LV12, Tolbas Village)

If you are looking for a Verteron Pepper, you must go back to Verteron and buy it from the food merchant named Drasia. You can also buy several peppers and sell them at a slightly higher price to the other players that are pursuing the same quest!

Suspicious Box

This box is located in the southeastern corner of the Frillneck Habitat. It may take a while to destroy it but it will always drop several green "Head Priest" equipment that your character can equip or can be sold at a higher price via Trade Broker.

Return Scrolls... priceless!

Always carry a return scroll for your current area's main city and your race's city. (For example, if you're in Verteron, always keep a Verteron Return Scroll and Sanctum Return Scrolls)

This will give you the convenience to teleport from anywhere, anytime. Your default Return Skill has a cool-down of 20 minutes so you can't rely on it often.

Selling items the right way

Avoid selling valuables to NPC merchanst, like rare equipment that your character can't use. They'll only buy it around 25% of the item's original worth for any equipment you sell. Sell these items to Trade Brokers, since other players may find interest in your item and purchase it at a much higher price. Remember that soul-bound equipment and quest rewards can't be traded; these equipment unfortunately, can only be sold to NPC merchants.

Changing Channels

Jumping from one channel to another will give you a chance to encounter that special mob you're looking for as well as find a less populated channel if you're avoiding lag.

You can also use this feature to jump to channel where most of the people are located. Most people are playing on channel 1, which is good if you want to sell your goods via private store.

Select a higher numbered channel so there won't be that many players in the area you're trying to farm. To do this, go to Menu – Support – Change Channel. You can't change channels in your race's major city.

Verteron Pepper

There is a small business opportunity in Tolbas Village in Verteron. You can buy Verteron Peppers for less than 150 kinah from Drasia, the food merchant in Verteron Citadel but since it will require players to travel back to the city, you may buy several peppers while you're there and set up a private store to sell them beside Eradis.

Just don't be an opportunist and sell the peppers at a ridiculously, high price. (I even saw somebody selling the pepper for 50000 kinah) Be reasonable. Selling it for 300-500 each will be fair enough as some players may chose convenience rather than savings.

Krall Rations

Krall Rations are hard to come by so if ever you collect more than you needed to complete the “Depressed Ulaguru” quest back in the Sanctum, you can sell these at a much higher price via trade broker or private store. These are dropped by mobs in Tursin Outpost and Tursin Garrison.

Farming in the Holy Ground of Miraju

Since you'll be hunting a lot of Atmosphere Spirits and Frost Wind Spirits, you'll have a very good chance of obtaining several valuable green equipment alongside with normal junk items. Sell those junk to the merchant in the shrine and return to Verteron to sell your valuables to the Trade Brokers.

Ardus Shrine has a flight transport system that will take you back to Verteron for a small fee, making things a lot more convenient. It will be a lot easier to hunt these mobs with a partner or a small group to quickly collect coins and loot.

Collect Whatever You Find

There will be quests that will require you to collect certain materials like plants and ores. They will have individual collecting skill level requirements so make it a habit to collect them as you encounter them. The more you collect, the faster your collecting skills improve; thus, it will be easier for you to collect any higher level material you come across. Besides, these materials can be kept for crafting use.

Rest once in a while

You can rest when not in combat to recover HP/MP faster. This is the most effective method of keeping yourself healed up before facing a mob of enemies. This is applicable to characters that rely heavily on potions and bandages should take a few seconds to sit down and rest, instead of using up their valuable recovery items.

Farming in Impetusium

Cyclone Spirits and Blade Wind Spirits are your main targets for the coin quest in this area. You will need to defeat 6 Blades and 16 Cyclones in order to get a coin. Since you'll need to hunt these mobs several times, your chances of getting any of their possible drops will be considerable improved.

Not to mention that you can also collect their junks to sell. It is easier to farm these mobs with a partner or two since taking them solo will just take a lot of time. You can sell your junks from the shugo at the base of the tower then use a return scroll to sell the goodies you've acquired to the trade broker then repeat if needed.

Business opportunity in Impetesium

Since there is no flight transporter in Impetesium (the "nearest" one is in Trader's Berth), you may sell Altgard Return Scrolls there. You can buy them from the General Store in Altgard Fortress for around 1,800 kinah. You can sell them at a much higher price; just don't be greedy to sell them at a very high price that your potential costumers may consider walking all the way to Traders' Berth instead of buying from you.

Making a New Start quest

You'll need to hunt Mumu Lu, Mumu Ring, Mumu Zoo, Mumu Zen, Mumu Ang, and Mumu Di to collect the Rings of Passion, Jealousy and Love. You don't need to hunt all of the mentioned mobs to get all the rings. 3 of them spawn by day while the other 3 spawn by night.

Mumu Ang, Lu and Zoo - Day
Mumu Ring, Di and Zen - Night

To locate them, simply open the quest window, select one of their names and click locate. These mobs are always escorted by two other mobs so you may want to “pull” your target from a distance, and then face it up close.

Gigantic Box

Occasionally, a large, yellow chest called a Gigantic Box will spawn in the middle of the lake. This object is the direct counterpart of the Suspicous Box of Verteron and can be destroyed as well. It will take a while since any attack will just deal 1 point of damage to it, no matter what weapon or skill used. It is known to drop several LV16 “Treasure Hunter's” green equipment and will always drop at least four or five of the possible six gears when defeated.

Daggers are advised to be used against it since these weapons have faster attack rates. If you are using a character that can't use daggers, unequip your weapons and attack it barehanded instead. A single player may take around 2-3 hours to destroy the box while a group working together will make it a bit faster. Besides, the group that will defeat the box will share the loot it drops so if possible be friendly and invite other players in a group so you can evenly share the goodies. Its respawn rate will take forever so keep changing channels until you find it. You can check this link for some info about changing channels.

Gulux

A LV13 elite mob named Gulux roams the ice lake, pretty much the counterpart of Verteron's Paksique. This ice monstrosity hits hard and is meant to be taken down by several players. Long range snarers like rangers, sorcerers and spiritmasters can probably take it down solo but there won't be that many chances that its presence alone won't attract other players from attacking it.

The experience it drops is good, especially if you defeated it alone (or if you dealt the most damage) but its drops aren't that great. If you're lucky, you may get a Cloth Bandanna of the Woods as the best drop or a Cyclops Fragment that can be sold for 1000 kinah (junk) or worse, a Lesser Elemental Stone.
