Then go to the mountain west of the Arena, and if you walk behind the mountain a "?" should appear. Enter have Peco hit the tree with the crow on it. Take the object back to the fairie and she will offer to be your master. For the first two nights, head north, following the North Star. After breaking camp on the second night, look west and check the Evening Star. It should be directly overhead. On the third night you should come across a random battlefield with an item lying on the sand that looks like a silver breast plate. Keep repeating this until Rei steals the Dragon Blade. When you get the sword, equip it to Ryu, because it will do high damage to the dragon -- critical hits will do over 1,000 points of damage.Votes: 0 0% 0%Beast Spear After the fight with Gaist, the last remaining guardian besides Garr, check his ashes for the strongest spear for Garr, the Beast Spear. Note: This weapon drains small amount of HP from him, depending on level.Votes: 0 0% 0%Avoid negative ability effects If you want an ability, but do not want to deal with the negative effects a master can put on you, simply leave a character (for example, Peco) at level 1 until you find the master you want. Then, get level ups. This is a great and easy way to get Aura on a second character.Votes: 0 0% 0%Kill Vulcans in volcano The Vulcans in Mt. Zublo are usually very hard to kill. However, they are worth 300 exp a throw, which at that stage in the game is a lot. Use this trick to kill them easily. First, before entering Mt. Zublo, buy a large amount of Molotovs (20-30) from Wyndia. After buying these, go into the volcano. When you meet a Vulcan, get one of your characters to use one Molotov on the Vulcan. It should heal it and the message "Vulcan begins to move!" should appear. After that, destroy it. Ice spells are very effective and the Jump skill (if present) also works well.Votes: 0 0% 0%Control Weretiger Rei Although Influence can be used to control Rei, Influence has to be renewed each round or he will still go Berserk. To counter this, equip Rei with a Light Bangle, which renders him almost 100% immune to all status changes. To obtain the best results in a long fight (such as a difficult boss like Myria), team it up with a Balance Ring. Rei should now be immune to Confusion and Berserk, which means you do not have to worry about trying to control him.Votes: 0 0% 0%Red Catfish When you are trying to get the Cupid's Lyre or the Shaman's Ring from Manillo at the Lost Shore fishing spot, five Red Catfish are needed for each of them. Go to the fishing spot south of Duana Mine and use a Baby Frog. There will only be one Red Catfish in the water at a time. They are usually along the far left. Once you catch one, exit then immediately return to catch another.Votes: 0 0% 0%Gene Spliciing II Apart from the more simle combinations, advanced and particular combinations exist that will create very powerful results:
Kaiser II - "Infinity", "Radiance", and "Trance". You can control this version of the Kaiser, though the attacks will be somewhat weaker than the uncontrollable version, but you can use Kaiser Breath along with your normal abilities like Vigor, and you wont atack your allies! Tiamat - "Shadow", "Trance", and "Gross". One of the coolest creatures you'll ever see in this game and VERY powerful. Mammoth - "Miracle", "???" gene, and "Force". A more powerful version of the Behemoth. Myrmidon - "Power", "Trance", and another gene of your choice. An extremely powerful version of the Warrior. Wild Fire - "Miracle", T"horn", and "Reverse". A Trygon-colored whelp. Pygmy - "Mutant", "???" gene, and "Trance". A small, cute snake-like dragon. Not very powerful though. NOTE: Most of these combos are very powerful and should be used primarily in boss battle because they consume quite a bit of AP. Feel free to experiment though. Votes: 0 0% 0%Gene Splicing I There are many genes you collect throughout Breath of Fire III, and here are some great combonations for dragon forms:
Warrior - Add the gene "Force" in a combo. Dragon - Add nothing but 2-3 non-elemental/special genes, like "Thorn" and "Defender". Fire/Ice/Thunder/Shadow/Light Dragon - Add the desired elemental gene plus an enahncing gene, like "Defender". Trygon - Combine "Fire", "Ice", and "Thunder". Whelp - Put any one gene by itself. Behemoth - Combine the "Miracle" Gene with 2 other genes, Like "Shadow" and "Defender". Kaiser - Add "Infinity" gene first with anything else. WARNING: UNCONTROLLABLE! NOTE: Usually, if you put a special gene, like "Miracle" or "Force", first, that will be the creature you get(i.e. Behemoth or Warrior). The exception is the "Fusion" gene. Votes: 0 0% 0%Gene Splicing III This secret involves the "Fusion" gene. When using this, simply put the "Fusion" gene first and add any other gene desired. You must have certain people in your party to achieve special dragon forms:

In his dream, you see the Future version of Teepo and even the goddess Myria!
