Editing players
Once you have loaded the game, go to "Features", then to "Roster Manager". Select "Team Rosters" and keep pressing R2 or L2 to find your team. You can change the positions shown by pressing L1 and R1. Select a player and go to "Edit Player". Keep pressing Start until you get to their stat screen. You can increase all of their stats, then play season.
Get the best rookies
When it is your turn to pick a player in the draft, select "Exit The Draft". Go to "ESPN.Com" at the coach's desk, then go to "Rookie Report". Choose a rookie, then edit him and raise his stats to 99. You can now pick that rookie in the draft, and he will have a 100 overall rating.
Distract opponent's freethrows
When another human player is making a freethrow, press L1 + R1 to vibrate their controller.
Unlocking special teams quickly
Use the following trick to unlock the special teams, such as the VC Team, very fast. Set the game time to one minute and win the game. You will unlock the first team. Repeat this process to unlock all the special teams.
Easy wins
Pause game play, then go to the options and select "Gamesliders". While there, you can max out your stats. Then, press Start to lower your opponents stats before resuming the game.
Easy scoring
When you have a Point Guard and enter up to the court, dish it to your Center and he will score.
Easy skills and points in 24/7 mode
This trick requires two controllers. Go to training for something like 3 pointers. When you start using both controllers, you will have control of your opponent. This gives you the chance to do as much training as desired. For the ratings, it works the same way -- you will have control of your opponent.
Easy Baskets in 24/7 mode
When you facing someone in 24/7 mode and are down 7-0 (or something similar), get the ball and go up to the top of the key. You can either pump once, then shoot; or drive past him going left. If you have the ball after you receive the check, pump once, drive to either side, and make a layup.
