The Getaway: Black Monday Cheats

Enter these codes at the intro movie before the main menu comes up.

Successfully complete the game. Then, press Square, Triangle, Right, Circle, Left(2) during the opening introduction before the main menu appears. The screen will flash green to confirm correct code entry. Repeat the code to disable its effect.

Character Unlockables (Free Roaming mode)

Complete the game once with any ending to unlock a "Making of" video available in the special features menu.

To unlock free roaming characters like Zara, Viktor, Leo, and Madame Celina, collect hidden key rings found on each level. Key rings also unlock the chase missions, black cab, and street races.

This trick only works on cars. Get inside a car and hold down R1 and X or Up on the right analog stick to start a burnout. When the drive wheels start smoking, let go of the gas for 1 second, then push it again and your car should quickly accelerate.

Drive north over the Tower Bridge (East London crossing the Thames). Towards the end of the bridge, turn left and follow the road. Look out for a small unnamed road to the left. Down this small road is a car park, which holds probably the fastest car in the game. Note: It is not very durable.

Search outside the Soreditch Boxing Club.

A one-seater classic with a British flag painted on it can be found at two locations in the game. It resembles the one Mark Hammond started out with in free roaming mode in the original Getaway. The first location is available when playing as Madame Celina in free roaming mode. It is very close to her starting point (just look around). The second location is available when playing as Sam. It is on Union Street. Approach from Blackfrairs Road and you cannot miss it, parked on the right-hand side of the road.

Look in Soho where you started in the original Getaway with Hammond to find the van.

With Mitch in free roaming mode, when you start turn right and go right into the alley. You will see a grey and red convertible just across the street from your first garage in the Holborn area.

You can find Holden (Vauxhall) Monaros driving around London. Normally they would be around round-a-bouts. There are two colors, red and green. It has a VX headlight.

Make your way in Free Roaming mode to Belgrave Square (at the far bottom left of the map). Then, drive north towards Hyde Park and Wellington's Monument. Immediately on the right you should see a Lancia Delta Integrale (in full rally-spec). Also this area seems to have absolute stacks of red and white Brabus (Smart car) roadsters.

When you first start off with Mitch and get to where it is suitable to turn around, go to the first right, then turn left and left again. Go down until you get to the second tunnel. There should be a Lotus police car down there.

When you start free roam mode with Eddie, you are at the gas station on the yellow motorcycle. Get off the motorcycle and turn completely around. You will see a building that is half brick and half gray, with a red roof on the gas station property. Walk or ride the motorcycle to the back of this building. Leaning up against the back of the building is a mountain bike. Note: This may be the same type of bike as the push mountain bike that you find with Sam.

In free roaming mode, choose Viktor as your player. You will start in a purple Brabus outside the Skobel building in the city. Exit the Skobel building, turn down the side street directly opposite and drive to the end where you will have to take a right turn. Just ahead you will find the Peugeot 406 from the film "Taxi". It has one of the fastest top speeds of any car in the game and handles brilliantly.

Use the following trick to get a Renault Laguna MK2 SO19 when not Mitch. First, play as Mitch and place the car in the car park opposite to the SO19 police station. Then, play as another character. Go to the Holborn area. Then go to Theobald's Road to get to SO19 station. Then, go to the car park.

In free roaming mode, there is a TVR Sagaris hidden near charging cross station. Just before the station (coming towards Trafalgar Square on the strand) is a left turn -- pedestrianized bit that becomes a street. Go down the road. On the left hand side is a turning to an underground car park. The Sagaris is inside.

When you start free roam mode with Mitch in the Police Laguna, turn around. You will see a turning, and there will be a garage with a white door with little holes in it. Drive a car into it, park it, then save. The car will be there the next time you go here.

Ok so you get in a car/ on a motorbike, and it has a poorish acceleration, well then, all you need to do is hold R1 (brake) for a while (until you see smoke coming from the ground, a sort of burnout) but while doing this also hold down X button, release the R1 button, but keep hold of the X button, and you should notice a big difference in the acceleration/speed when you put your foot down

Remember the 1st getaway, well, Mark Hammond's wife who got killed at the start of the game, you can find her body in black monday. all you have to do is go on free roam with eddie and drive to the car sales garage and go inside the door and you will see here body on rubbish bags.

Also on the free roam with mitch on the start turn left into the save garage and drive your car into the garage walk up the stairs and it will auto-save look for the table with books on and zoom in on the poster on the wall and it is a naked woman, the books on the table are porn mags.

You CAN kill with Sam on 15nth chapter. here is what u do. First aproach your enemy so he tries to kill you. then press triangle by the grey parts of the wall or corridors to jump on top of a light that stretches through the corridor. then crawl on top of your enemy and jump down on top of him. you should find him dead. remember to try more times if you don't suceed the first time. it's easy bot not too easy

In free roaming mode, go to the old Yardie courtyard where the Triads and Yardies fought in The Getaway. Go into the old area with bin bags and rubbish (behind the used cars building). You will see the body of Suzie, Hammond's dead wife.

In Chapter 18, allow Jackie to die. When you reach Chapter 22, there will be an alternate ending and a different chapter than the one that can be played if you had saved her.

Chase the black Brevis car and stop it. Then take Tyler into the police station. Leave your car outside the station and go the rest of the way on foot. Go throught the entrance to the police station until your car is out of sight. You will then notice that your car has disappeared and so has all the traffic around the city, apart from the cops on motorcycles. You can ride on a bike and have Tyler sit on the back and go on a sightseeing tour with the bike.
