"It"	When he is on the roof. He will grab Leon and snap his neck.
Betrayal	When you are in the cabin surrounded by Ganados, shoot Luis Sera about five to eight times. An intermission sequence will begin.
Chief Mendez	In the barn fight, do not evade his grab in the intermission sequence.
Crocodile	After getting knocked out of the boat, swim back until you are just in reach of the boat. The crocodile will appear from underneath.
Crocodile	When killed, do not cut the rope.
Crocodile	Immediately before you fight the crocodile, stand on the dock near by the boat (the one exactly before the Boss fight). Shoot the fish in the water. The crocodile will come up and eat Leon.
Decapitation	After completing the game once, play the Mercenaries game. Go to the water level and run around until you meet a man with a double chainsaw. Stand near him and your head will be cut clean off.
Del Lago	Stand on the dock by the lake where you fight the giant alligator (Del Lago). Fire your shotgun into the water several times. Eventually, Del Lago will come out and eat you.
Giant insects	Let them vomit on you.
Knife fight	At the end, let him press the knife through the cavity.
Luis Seras	When in the house with Luis Seras, keep shooting Luis. Eventually an intermission sequence will show Luis shooting Leon twice, then Leon will fall to the floor and die.

If you are observant, you can actually see that the Handcannon fires in spreads of four bullets. The best place to see this is to take the Handcannon and go to the lake where you face the Del Lago Boss. Take out the Handcannon and fire into the water from the high cliff on the left. When the bullets hit the water, you will see four splashes. This indicates that the Handcannon fires in four bullet spreads, almost like a shotgun.

To do this, you must fill the entire Firepower, Firing Speed, Reload Speed and Capacity of the weapon. When you shoot a Ganado or a Los Luminados, one shot will kill them. Note: The same happens with the Chicago Typewriter.

An easier way to kill J.J is to first hit him in the head with a weaker gun. When he is holding his head, attack him with a more powerful weapon. If he recovers quickly, just use the same strategy. This also works on the military base during the Mercenaries mini-game.

When you are in the castle and you fire at the Gothic Illuminados, it is best to fire at their knees. They will fall on them and allow you to use a suplex move instead of a kick. You will then throw them over your head and smash their head in the ground. Note: In mercenary mode, the same goes for the rest of the mercenaries.

Look at his legs. If you see an eyeball, shoot it until ypu can see the eyeball in his mouth. Get near it and press Action. Do this about three times, then go across the bridge and get the rocket launcher. Shoot it at him. Then, go down, get the girl, and ride the jet ski.

To avoid seeing a number of times killed, continue until you get to a chapter end. When instructed to save, cancel the saving process.

After defeating Del Lago (crocodile), after the intermission sequence, go back across the lake where you got the boat. Head up the trail. An intermission sequence should begin. Leon will be surrounded by wolves. Note: You can also go back that way and fight El Gigante, but you must go all the way back to get the Insignia for the church.

The best way to complete the game in Professional mode is to first complete the Separate Ways mini-game. You should unlock Special Costume 2, where Leon is a gangster and Ashley is in a suit of armor. Choosing this costume makes Professional mode a lot easier. Ashley cannot be injured or carried away. Use her for bait when needed. At least half the enemies will go directly for her, giving you time to kill them and keep your distance from a crowd. This also works well on El Gigante.

The main monsters to look out for are the two chainsaw ladies on stage 1. Once you kill them, they keep coming back. On stage 2 and 3 be careful of the guys with the chain guns. On stage 4, there is a super chainsaw man. He is bigger than the normal one and has a twin bladed saw. He is almost impossible to stop. He does not climb ladders. He jumps to where he needs to be. He will run at you, swinging the saw. Do not run past him. Turn and jump down if you can, or climb something quickly. If you really want to get past him, try using Jack Krauser's transformation, and aim right at him. If you miss, you are dead.

Listen closely when you kill the villagers. Some of them will say "Lord Saddler" as they reach out just before they die. Note: This may only happen after completion of the game.

When you are going upstairs, rapidly press Square. Leon will hop on one foot.

When you unlock and start a new game with the second pair of costumes (Leon's gangster and Ashley's armor), watch Leon as he tries to catch Ashley whenever you need her to come down from a raised platform or ladder. He will fall on the ground on one knee, and as he comes up from the ground, he grabs his back in pain.

Wear Leon's gangster costume and have the Chicago Typewriter as a weapon. Hold R1 then press Square. Leon will take off his hat, re-adjust it, then put it back in place. Repeat this until he throws his hat in the air, catches it, then strikes a pose.

When you are walking in the room in the village, you will see an intermission sequence where the chief chokes Leon, but then lets him live because he has the same blood as them. After it ends, go back in the same room where he just choked you. He will pop out from behind and step on you. Then, he gets shot with two bullets. When he turns around, Ada is at the window in a black costume, and she escapes quickly. Note: The middle of the castle level is where you actually meet her for the first time.

When Leon is being choked, he will be told that he has the same blood. Leave the room, then return. You will be choked again by same person, only this time Ada comes to the rescue.

When buying upgrades for your gun, always look at your gun information beforehand. For example, if your gun has a gunpower of 10.8 and you see that the upgrade reads lvl 2 --> 10.5, you are basically losing out and wasting money.

This trick really only works up until you get to the castle where the enemies get stronger. The easiest way to save ammunition is to use your knife frequently. Most of the enemies have knives, axes, pitchforks, all sorts of melee weapons. Instead of trying to shoot them, just step back from the attack so that they stumble. You will get the command to kick them. Do so, then you can just knife them. By time they stand up and are ready to kill you, you will have knifed them to death.

Wait until you are low on ammunition before upgrading a gun. The replacement gun will always have a full clip, giving you extra bullets that otherwise may be difficult to find.

To find items, smash all of the crates with either your knife or a gun.

There are many locks on doors. Instead of shooting the locks and wasting ammunition, pull out your knife and cut it off. The same can be done for boxes.

Tap X(2) when the "Open" action appears to kick open or down some doors instead of nudging them by hand. This will give you an advantage, as any enemies behind the door will be sent flying back.

Use the D-pad and Analog-stick together to aim faster than normal.

To avoid getting into close-quarters situations, especially with dynamite-toting Ganados about, wait you are just out of sight at the top of the ladder before jumping down if there are any enemies close by. Usually they will attempt to climb the ladder to wherever you are. Once they reach the top, it takes a moment for them to get off the ladder. Pick them off at your leisure. This is much easier than dancing around avoiding thrown hatchets and the occasional arrow. It is also fun to knock the ladder down with several of them climbing up. The same applies for enemies lurking around hallway corners. Wait for them to peek around the corner and shoot them before they can mount any offense. Always try to stash Ashley in a safe place before fighting a mob of enemies.

To avoid getting hurt by traps such as explosives and bear traps, use your laser sight and shoot at the explosive or the middle of the trap.

When running around different areas of the village, you will see crows. Pick them off from a distance as to not scare the others away. They usually drop Pesetas. Note: If you scare some away, just re-enter the area to reset their position.

You can kill the merchant at any time in the game. Under the normal difficulty setting, he just dies then comes back at the next place, or when you leave the room and come back in. However, under the professional difficulty setting, once he dies, he remains dead. When you see the merchant and his eyes are glowing red, you can take the mine thrower and shoot a couple of darts. Most of the time he will turn into a blood stain on the floor.

If you plan to sell two or more herbs or other items that can be combined, combine them first and do not sell them separately. This will result in a small boost in the total selling price when compared to what it would have been if you sold them separately.

Do not hold X . Just keep tapping it.

It is possible to find ammunition for the Mine Thrower. Kill any normal enemy with the Mine Thrower to yield one dart for ammunition.

Whenever you kill a snake, a chicken egg will be your reward. Move the pointer on to a white chicken egg, and there will be an "Equip" option. When you equip the egg, Leon is shown on the inventory screen tossing the egg up into the air and then catching it. Furthermore, if you exit the screen and continue playing, Leon will throw the egg if you press R1 then X, as per the protocol of aiming his firearm. The egg will fly very far and will not affect anyone.

If you want the secret treasures in the areas, go to the merchant and buy the treasure map. Check the map. The treasures will displayed as a star. If you cannot see them while you are standing by an star, check around and look for something sparkling. Then, shoot it and grab your treasure.

Before you fight Del Lago, walk onto the dock where the speedboat is found. You can fire at Black Bass. Take the boat out to recover them. However, be careful; if you fire too many shots Del Lago will eat you at the end of the dock.

If you mix a Green, Red, and Yellow Herb, you can sell it for a lot of money, or use it to restore health and increase the maximum health. Use it when you are low on health so that you do not waste the health recovery from it.

Once you gain access to the tunnel with the merchant beyond Pueblo, return to the farm area and wait for the chickens there to lay eggs. Exit and re-enter to begin the same process over again. After you fill your inventory, you can return to the nearby merchant to sell your eggs. White chicken eggs sell for 300 Pesetas, brown eggs for 600 Pesetas, and golden eggs for 3,000 Pesetas.

The quickest way to complete the puzzle as Ashley in 3-4 is as follows. The layout of the puzzle's squares is referred as:

Before the end of the chapter, there is a puzzle in the church. The puzzle is a simple mix of colors. Three different designs surround the main design. The colors are red, green, and blue. When you enter the church, turn to the left and go down the little hall. Climb the ladder. When you are up there, you will see that the way to the door is barred. You must get to the other side of the church by jumping on and off of the chandelier. On the other side, there is a set of switches. When you activate it, the puzzle starts. The goal is to turn the designs so when combined, they are the same as the middle design. Turn red twice, green three times, and blue once. When combined, it should create the design. Then, go in and grab Ashley.

In the area where the room is filled with lava, enemies will appear on pillars with horses that shoot fire at you. Instead of waiting for a clear shot to shoot the man on the pillar, simply shoot at the chain that is holding the pillar. If one of the chains breaks, the entire pillar will fall. This makes it easier to get through the room. If you queue all of the pillars to appear and shoot them all down, once you shoot the last one down no more enemies will appear in the room, even the ones that fall from the ceiling.

If you see a group of crow, open your suitcase and equip to flash grenades and throw it in to the crowed of crows. All of them will die and you can get much money and also items, too.

Make sure you have the broken butterfly and right before you go into the fight go to the merchant and tunr up the broken butterflys power and capacity so that you get full ammo and use this in th fight you might have to use the shotgun also but not much good luck.

When you are at the part when you have to go in the house and more villagers come. Don't go in the house!, if you go to the exit to the second part of the village, you will incouter another chainsaw person. But when you kill him, the door will still be locked. So you have to fight two of them! So don't do it if you don't have enough ammo.

The best way to kill Salazar with low ammo is to have about 6 bullets in your rifle, 5 bullets on the brokenbutterfly and abou 30-50 bullets in your TMP. And most important one ROCKET LANCHER. If you don't have enoff money sell your punisher and buy it. After the fight you will have ennof to buy it again but I recomend buying the Red9. You also need the brokenbutterfly with atleast a lvl5 strenght or firepower. Ok so as soon as you start the battle go and set up camp close by the wall next to right tanticul. I don't know how to spell it but its the worm like thing on his right. If you camp there that will protect you from his head attack and all you have to worry about is his right tanticle. OK When your there shoot the tanticul twice with the rifle (your rifles power should atleast be at lvl3). It will go in then shoot the eye in his head once with the rifle and some TMP bullets, using a regular handgun will work too but I takes more shots. He will go down showing you Salazar. Shoot him with the rocket he will go back in and some times it looks like he blocked it..don't worry he dirent. You will have 3 bullets in your rifle then do the same thing again but this time you won't have the ROCKET so aim at his HEAD with the BROKENBUTTERFLY. About 3to4 shots will kill him. If you do this you will kill him the second time he shows his ugly head, and the best thing is that you saved a lot of ammo and then you can get the extra things from the berrels in the ground and some sprays.

When your in battle against Krasuser his legs are his week or weak points sorry about that... I don't know how to spell it so I used both. Ok so your wepons of choice for this battle should be the broken butterfly at atleast lvl 5 or 6. The stricker and the riotgun works too. A hangun is also good but most inportant your trusty handy budy knife or as I call him knifefy. Ok so the battle bigins. The first one is just pressing the action buttons in the scene. The secon time u fight run to the first ingsinia. When ever he gets close to You shot him in the legs so that he slows down and if his face to face with you wich happens a lot just relax and take out your knife and stab away. For fun pretend your cuting a big old army tree. He will use a flash bang because his scared of your knife. When you get to the point when his arm is mutated don't worry his still as easy. Take out your brokenbutterfly and shot his legs untill he kneals then walk up to him and cut away again. Do this and I'll take about 30 sec and if your fast like me only 20sec.

An easy way to kill the double chainsawblade guy in the mercenery game just shoot him in the legs till he falls walk away and shot. Repeat about twice and his dead.

When your traped in the cage when you open a treasure chest some gothic olominados and one prison boss. The one with the metal claws and the only way to kill it is shoting the plaga in his back. Just break one of the doors lock and run out. You can run out the door to the next part or u can kill them from out side because they can't walk out.

All you neen to do is shoot in the with the shot gun twice until he shows he's eye stab it do this twwice and the tird time take out an TMP ( without TMP it dosent work) Ok so shoot him in the head with the TMP a scene will start and you will see the bullets goin to his hands just keep shooting him and the head and he will die.

Note : finish the game on professional mode once and the merchant shoulg give you P.R.L 412

Note: other weapon needed, feel free but shotgun and flash grenade recommended.

The first time you face this Gigante immidiately stunt him with flash grenade, run beetwen his legs and open fire in his head about 4-5 times, after that the cut scene will show something pop uot from his back, then equip your P.R.L 412, approache him and shoot on his Plagas. He should die in one hit.
