For advanced spell casters, when you are pulling the control stick in the direction you want to pull, wiggle it around that point. You will find that your Carpe Retractum spell is quicker at pulling. The best place to try this is the Prefect's Bathroom.

This is a very handy jinx that does automatic kills on smaller enemies (for example, Dugbogs, Salamanders, etc.) Follow the same procedure as the Avifors jinx except do not flip your enemy. No beams should appear but your character should point their wand and yell "Orbis!". There will be a blue ball around the enemy and it will spin. After about two seconds of spinning, the enemy will disappear.

Hold [R1] on the first task of the Triwizard Tournament (Dragon Chase) to go faster than normal. On the first task hold [X] + [R1] and you will go very fast.

When you are playing two or three player mode and one of you dies all you have to do is pause as soon as you hit zero, drop out, and the computer will revive itself. Then simply drop back in and you will have all your hp and not use up a frog. Please note this only works if 1) you dont all die at the same time (very unlikely in 3 player) and 2) one player alone doesnt work.
