After unlocking the Grim Ripper, select him as your guitarist in Career mode, then exit Career mode. Next, go to Quick Play mode, choose any song at any difficulty, and either finish the song, or quit once it has started. Then, go back to Career mode, and the Grim Ripper will be playing the Gibson Les Paul with the Cherry Sunburst Classic skin! To make him play the scythe again, simply select it in the "Change Guitar" menu.

If you go into a song and max out in the green area of rock bar and then reset the song you will start out with a full rock meter.

When on the "Press any button to continue" screen(the main screen), wait for a demo. When the demo song starts, press the Green and Yellow frets and start strumming like you are playing "Madhouse". After a couple seconds, start fretting and strumming wildly, then stop strumming, but keep fretting. The song failed screen will come up. Selecting "Exit" will take you back to the main screen. "Replay" will restart the demo. "New Song", though, will take you to the setlist, but if you select any song, it will play that song's demo.
