Highlight the "Replay" option at the "Opening Edit" screen, then hold R1 + L1 + R2 + L2 and press X.

Alternately, hold R1 + L1 + R2 + L2 and press Start. You will see all of the people from the gray army dancing.

In the Japanese version of the game, hold L1 + R1 and press Circle or hold L2 + R2 and press Circle.

Press Select + Start during game play.



Enable the "Opening Edit option" code. You will reach a part that says "Enchantress." Put in someone like Zhang Liao, Dian Wei, or even Cao Cao. Note: You can only put in characters that you have used to win the game with.



Play the Nanman campaign under the easy difficulty setting. When you fight Men Ho for the fifth time (where you have to break down the wall to get to him), stay where you defeated him. He should appear where you fought him the first time. Defeat him once more to unlock Meng Ho as a selectable character.



Play The Siege Of Hei Fei Castle as the Blue forces. Defeat all generals except Sun Quan and the special item message will appear. Go to the big boat that Sun Quan is on to receive the Art of War Scroll. It doubles the time of the effect of the Defense and Attack times two for thirty seconds and Musou full for ten seconds.



This item prevents you from be overpowered while blocking. Play the He Fie level as the Wu side. Allow Taishi Ci to get killed in the arrow attack, then retreat with Sun Quan to the lower right corner of the level, to the broken bridge. You will jump over the bridge with Sun Quan. About five minutes later, Zhang Liao will attack Sun Quan. Defeat Zhang Liao and he will drop the item. This item is very useful when blocking, especially when fighting against Lu Bu.



In the Battle of Wu Zhang Plains under the hard difficulty setting as the Wei force, find a place where an intermission sequence starts and you see shooting stars. A special item message should appear for the Defender. This is almost impossible to obtain with one person. Both of your characters should be at full stats with their fourth weapon. This item will have your character's Defense x2 when near death.



Play the Battle Of Chi Bi level under any difficulty setting. Ride or run as fast as you can to Zhou Yu and kill him. This must be done before the fire attack starts. A special item message will appear. The item can be found where you usually kill Xiahou Dun/Huang Gai's destination point.



This is probably the hardest item to obtain in the game: Make sure you are playing on the easy difficulty setting. Kill Pang Dai and Ma Dai. Make Han Sui defect. Han Sui's defection is based on morale, not time. Your morale on Cao Cao's team has to be higher then Ma Chao's. After the morale drop he will defect sometime during the next two minutes. Protect Han Sui. If you are not careful, he will die before he has the chance to defect. Once he does defect, kill everyone except Ma Chao. After a little while he will retreat behind Tong Gate. After a very long period of time, the supply team will appear. It does take a long time, so be careful and the sooner you accomplish the other tasks the better.



At the Battle Of Yi Ling level as Shu forces, stop Lu Xun's fire attack and kill Lu Xun. Then, you must kill Gan Ning, Lu Meng (may be optional), and Sun Shang Xiang. Start with Sun Shang Xiang because she is a long way from where you need to be; Gan Ning is closer. Then, a Supply Unit will appear near the northern-most Wu gate (near Sun Quan). Kill the Supply Captain to get the Imperial Saddle. This item allows the riding of any horse. Note: If you do not get there quickly, the Supply Captain either disappears or one of your allies will kill him.



Play the Battle of Yi Ling as the Wu force under the hard difficulty setting. Protect Zhu Ran from the attacking enemies in the path near the Stone Warrior Maze, then wait for the fire attack and kill Zhuge Liang. It helps to have two players, as Lu Xun is all the way in one corner of the map. It will appear in the maze trap. Guide yourself around by pressing Start. The Falcon should be located in the northeast area of the stone warrior formation. It has Speed +22, Musuo Max +73, Defense +43, Reach +29 and an instant death attack.



Play as Ma Chao under the hard difficulty setting in the Tong Gate level. Ma Chao is the main general. They must kill General Han Sui, but he is on your side. First, you must kill Cao Ren and Cao Hong. Then, wait for Xu Huang to bring his army. Watch Cao Cao and make sure he moves away from Xaihou Yuan. Then, kill Xiahou Yuan. Wait for Cao Cao to move further up the field. Walk across the bridge and go towards Cao Cao. Do not attack his men or him. He should walk across the bridge to the field. Cao Cao will then talk to Han Sui. Wait about five minutes and do anything except attack Cao Cao. Han Sui should defect after awhile. Make sure you have Hex Mark or Red Hare -- when you kill Han Sui you must run to the gate on the top right corner of the screen. A supply unit will appear and try to retreat to there. Kill the supply unit and you will get Ma Chao's fourth weapon, which gives Jump +21, Mounted Attack +60, Mounted Defense +60, and Reach+21.



In Battle Of Jie Ting, play as Wei Yan under the hard difficulty setting. Wait for Zhang He to say "A downhill charge....like falling blossoms...my people lets dance around them!". Then, kill Zhang He and the rest of the generals. You have to be sure to kill Zhang He's Sub-Generals also, before they run away. Enter the enemy headquarters and after a long period of time, the special item message should appear. Go to where Zhang He was fought in the middle area to find Wei Yan's fourth weapon. It adds +23 Jump, +24 Attack, +56 Defense and +22 Reach. Use the fourth Triangle attack (where he hits them in the air) for a one hit kill to anyone except generals, even in hard mode.



At the Battle Of Guan Du level, choose Yuan Shao and go east. Kill Xu Zhu and his troops. Go west. Kill Liu Bei and his troops. Go south. Kill Xiahou Dun and his troops. Go inside Cao Cao's castle, and kill everybody except Cao Cao and his guards. Have your bodyguards on crossbow and shoot Cao Cao's guards to death. After that, attack Cao Cao with Guan Yu, Yuan Shu, and one any other random general. Stand directly over Cao Cao when you get him killed. When the mission ends, you will get Yuan Shao's fourth weapon, the Shao Pride. It gives a Basic +90, Attack +20, Mosou Max +80, Defense +90, and Life +95. It has 8 electrically charged hits.



Play The Nanman Campaign level under the hard difficulty setting. Chose the Nanman forces and use Zhu Rong. Let two of the generals from your force retreat. When the morale is low, Dong Tu Ne and Ahui Nan will say something like "We can do no more" and "This battle will do us no good". Once they are finished saying that, they will retreat. After they retreat, the special item message for Zhu Rong's fourth weapon will appear.



This trick requires a very good character (preferably Lu Bu), or someone with their fourth weapon. Go past all the enemies. Do not stop until you get to the walls of the actual Fan Castle. Go up the stairs, but do not fight Sima Yi. The people that followed you will be there. Also, there is a gate on the wall. People will keep coming until you either want to stop or you die. This is a good way to get a person that is good, but does not have many points.



As Lu Xun on the Wei side, go to the southern square past Lu Xun and Lu Meng into the square. You should see an intermission sequence with your character and some soldiers in the square. They will look up at Lu Xun, who is standing on a building with some fire archers. He will say "at last, it's appeared... Fire!", and he will order he troops to set fire to the square. Your character will retreat and order everyone to go to the other gates.



Play the battle at Hu Lao Gate as anyone desired. Go through the level as usual. After you defeat all the generals except for Dong Zhou, go to the south of the map where the gate is located. Avoid the gate captain and have your bodyguards take care of him . Then, go to the gate and run or stand in front of it. Enemies will start pouring out. Note: This is a good strategy to get Lu Bu. It is possible to get 1,000 kills before you get into Hu Lao Gate, and result in about 11,000 to 15,000 points. This is a great way to increase your stats quickly.



There is a Musuo +10 near the Gate for the Yellow Turban to the far left. Head down close to the outside land and you will find it there. The Life +10 is found just outside the river opening to the castle on the north side. There is also another Musou +10 at the second protrusion from the south on the West Castle Wall. There is also another Life +10 at the second protrusion from the north of the East Castle Wall.



Play the level as the Han forces under free mode and the hard difficulty setting with a character who you want to make stronger. From where ever you start, go straight to the allied Gate in the bottom left corner and defeat the general who is attacking it. Then, go to the river where there is a scene of the it being frozen, Immediately run back to the gate earlier, without killing any more generals. Wait until Liu Bei, Sun Jian, and Cao Cao die, leaving the castle under siege. Wait until He Jin is under attack and help him. All that remains is to kill anyone who gets in your way. The Gate closest to Zhang Jiao is the only one that will send units your way. Getting a horse to go and close all the Gates is helpful. In doing this, you should be able to kill over 1000 to 2000 enemies, raising you five or six levels.



Play a two player game with one character who has very good stats and another character who you want the weapon for. Play at the Yellow Turban Rebellion under the hard difficulty setting and have each character equipped with a Red Hare Saddle. At the very beginning, put the character you want the weapon for near Sun Jian but not in a place where he could get hurt. Next, have your strong character fight Sun Jian. When he dies, he will drop a weapon. Let your strong character just stand there. He should have good enough defense that barely any health is taken away. Have the other character quickly run in, grab the weapon, and run out again. Then, go in the castle with the strong character and kill He Jin to end the level. You will almost always get the character's second weapon and sometimes even their third weapon. Note: You may have problems doing this with Zhang He.



Go to the Surprise Attack On Lui Biao level with an already enhanced Lu Bu and the character you want. There are five weapon boxes throughout the level. Get those with the other character, not Lu Bu after killing every person on the level with Lu Bu, except for the main person. Then, kill the last person. There is also a Musou +10 and an Life +10 in the level. For a third weapon, play under the hard difficulty setting. If you do not get their second or third weapon, play on the other side.



Play under the hard difficulty setting with two players (one who already has a fourth weapon and the other that needs a fourth weapon). Complete what is necessary with the good character, then use the other character to pick up the fourth weapon. For example, to get Taishi Ci's special weapon, play the Assault On Wu Territory level with Lu Bu and his fourth weapon and Taishi Ci. Get Taishi Ci to safety. Kill every one except Sun Ce. Then, use Taishi Ci to get his fourth weapon.



To complete beat Musou mode easily, start a game in two player Musou mode. Choose the character you want to be. Then, with the second controller choose any character that is already leveled up and is good. Play through Musou mode with the good character and you should win easily. Make sure you keep the other character out of danger.



Kill Gate captains with Musou attack (full combos) to get Defense Up +2 instead of +1. You can do this either in Free or Musou mode. One way to fill up you defense meter quickly is to play the Battle Of Hu Lao Gate level as the allied forces. There are seven Gate captains and three officers who have the Defense Up item. Kill them all with Musou attack to get +20 total. You can also use this trick to Attack Up. Everything +1 killed by Musou attack will be +2 (defense or attack).



When you have lots of arrows with a full musou bar, find a large enemy group and pull out your bow. Hold Circle until your Musou bar is empty. There longer your Musou bar, the more arrows you will shoot. This is extremely useful if you have about 50 arrows and get a Musou Max for 10 seconds (Emperors Seal). You can unload arrows for ten seconds plus however long your Musou is.
