Beat the game 2 times with the same ending type and on the 3rd time, it's in the motor home on south side.



When you beat the game, you get a replay option. Go into the replay option and when James is walking down the hill in the very beginning of the game, near the Silent Hill Ranch theres a mysterious pile of logs that appear! Go to it to obtain the chainsaw.



Stuff to unlock once you have completed the game:

• Book of Crimson Ceremony: In the Alternate Lakeside Hotel Reading Room.
• Book Of Lost Memories: This is in the Newspaper Stand near Texxon gas station.
• Chainsaw: Complete the game on normal difficulty and puzzle settings, start a new game and look in the logs near the cemetery, the chainsaw is there.
• Dog Key: Complete with the rebirth ending and the dog key will be in the dog house near Jack's Inn.
• Obsidian Goblet: On a shelf in the Historical Society.
• White Chrism: Find the White Chrism vial in the kitchen of apartment 105 in Blue Creek Apartments

Successfully complete the game once with the Leave ending (where James and Laura leave the town), then complete it again with the Rebirth ending (where James is going to revive Mary). Start the game again and a Blue Gem should appear in the bathroom where you start. Use the Blue Gem at the evil hospital garden, the dock (before you get on the boat), and room 312 before the intermission sequence. After using it in room 312, the UFO ending will begin.



If you wait at the title screen for awhile, the introduction FMV sequence will begin. In some scenes, there will be no audio. Successfully complete the game one time and the audio will be restored to those scenes.

Silent Hill 2 ItemsAfter the short cut scene ends, pull out your gun and start shooting. Every time a bullet successfully hits, you will hear a dull metallic clang.

Pyramid Head will move towards you slowly. Keep on shooting while maintaining distance. When he is near, make sure you move to the stairway at the bottom of the room as he approaches. When he reaches the area in front of the door, run past him.

At this point, he may raise his blade, but move to the opposite end of the room and keep firing. If you get hung up on him and he drops the blade on you, you could be killed (or worse). After you shot him about 30 times, an alarm will sound in the distance.

Pyramid Head will make his way down the stairs and into the sewers below, draining the stairwell. Don't follow him too closely as he leaves, or he'll kill you. However, once the water has completely drained, move down the staircase and exit through the slimy blue door.



In the Blue Creek Apartment, you will find a puzzle consisting of a safe with five holes in it. Here are the solutions to the puzzle, from left to right, based on the difficulty level youre playing on.

Easy - Old Man, Empty, Snake, Empty, Prisoner
Normal - Empty, Old Man, Prisoner, Empty, Snake
Hard - Empty, Old Man, Empty, Snake, Prisoner
Extra - Empty, Old Man, Empty, Snake, Prisoner



Press L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + SELECT + START to soft reset your game and return to the main menu.



When you encounter an enemy, try and get fairly close to it. When it attacks, quickly hold Square and side step out of the way by pressing either L1 or R1. Then, face the enemy and attack it with the board with a nail in it. Most of the early enemies you encounter have a slow reaction time after they attack and can easily be taken down with the board and nail. :Note: This is only recommended for use with those types of enemies and should not be used when facing later enemies.



Use the following trick to avoid using any ammo or health while you face the Pyramid Head in the apartment. When you go into the staircase on the second floor, immediately go to the right (or left if the camera is facing on James). Dodge around the Pyramid Head until you get to the wall. Wait until he jumps down the staircase filled with water, then he is gone until the hospital.



In the first battle, equip your rifle and as soon as you get the chance, shoot him four times. He will run away. Follow him into the next room. Get far away from him and just keep shooting until he dies. If he gets in close, run away and shoot him. If done correctly, he should be locked in between shots and you will not get hit.



Go to room 307 in "Wood Side Apartments". On the third floor is a picture on the wall. Press X and the message "There's a painting hanging on the wall. It looks like a landscape of this area." will appear. Look at the picture to see two skulls on the side of the mountains.



Start a new game and when asked which puzzle and difficulty level to be played, chose the easiest difficulty and hardest puzzle settings. When you start the game on those settings, you will find the chain saw stuck in some logs along the side of your path into the town of Silent Hill. You can find it by looking or listening for a loud annoying sound in front of you.



When you get almost to the end of the hospital area and go down in the elevator, you will get a call on the radio. It is game show which will ask three questions. You must go to the third floor storeroom to get your prize. The combination to the box is 3 1 3. Note: This is for the easy and normal difficulty setting.



Press L1 or R1 at the options screen to display an extra options menu with blood color, map zoom, and other selections.



Play through the game and beat all three riddle difficulty settings--Easy, Normal and Hard. If you play through the game again on Hard Riddle level, the puzzles will change, further boggling your mind.
