Votes: 0 0% 0%The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Tow... Tips & HintsThe Breached Wall: Level Hint You will notice that the level HELM'S DEEP: THE BREACHED WALL is very difficult to pass. In the last part of the level the Uruk-Hai bring an explosive cart. The energy of the door that you have to protect will be almost gone. The cart will shoot many explosives. The trick is to go past the cart guards and kill the orc that is operating the explosive cart. After killing him the cart won't shoot any explosives. Kill the cart guards and destroy the cart. You will complete the level and save the door from being destroyed.Votes: 1 100% 0%Playing as Legolas Choose Legolas and use the codes to get all the upgrades. You can now fight from afar. Use your glowing arrows to shoot any enemy, unless they have a shield. If this is the case, use your Triangle attack to break the shield. You can then either knock them down and shoot an arrow when they get up, or just slice them with your swords. When fighting in the last Helms Deep level, this is useful. Only a few Orcs will attack when you shoot. Although you will not be able to see, you can still shoot and hit, as long as you are aiming at the door.Votes: 0 0% 0%Putting out fires Many parts of the game will require you to put out a fire or save people in order to move on to the next area. Look for a barrel in the area of the fire. Smash it with a speed attack and water will flow out, extinguishing any fires it can.Votes: 0 0% 0%Easy Excellents When you can play levels over again, use this trick. It will take several attempts, depending on your skill. In all of the levels (excluding Weathertop, Amon Hen, Plains of Rohan, Breached Wall, and the Helms Deep), you can complete the level with an "Excellent" rank, just by killing one or two Orcs, and getting "Excellent". Kill a few Orcs at the beginning of the level (five or more), getting an "Excellent" rank. Then, run near to the end of the level. For example, in the Gates of Moria level kill off the first few Orcs with your Linked Move until the intermission sequence with the arrow and the Orc and Gimli. Then, run to the part where you need to kill the Watcher, and do not kill any Orcs on the way, unless you have to. No orcs will follow you to the Boss part after you have started it. Kill the Watcher. When your kills get counted, as you will see, you will have more "Excellent" kills.Votes: 0 0% 0%Easy Perfects Use the following trick to get east "Perfects" on enemies without repeatedly hitting them. Get any of the death moves for any character. Use this attack on enemies and the color meter will grow to high green. If you finish off the enemy with the last Triangle in the death move, it will make the "Perfect" glow appear. You can hit a lot of perfects doing this. This is good for Legolas, but it will practice to master it with Gimli, as he is slower than the other characters.Votes: 0 0% 0%Destroy shields with arrows To eliminate a shielded foe from long range, charge up your arrows or axes to full power and fire at the shielded enemy, then quickly fire again. If you get the flaming arrows or axes, then you can fire one at the weakest power and catch the shield on fire. Wait ten to fifteen seconds and the shield will be destroyed, giving you a clear shot to finish off your enemy.Votes: 0 0% 0%Easy kills You can kick an enemy off just about any cliff in any level.Votes: 0 0% 0%Flaming sword in intermission sequence After you have defeated all of the Uruk-Hai in front of the final explosive set in the Westfold level, instead of blowing up the last set with an arrow, charge up your weapon. Do a devastating attack by holding Triangle. If done correctly, your character will be walking away in the ending sequence with a flaming sword.Votes: 0 0% 0%Plains Of Rohan: Defeating Wargs When you fight the Wargs you can complete the level without getting hurt. You should see river of water behind you. Step back and go in the water when the Wargs are charging you. They cannot go in the water and cannot hurt you if you are far enough in. Wait for them to run around, then shoot your arrows or axes at them when they put their heads back. After they are weakened, use combos or fierce attacks. Keep continuing this process until they are all dead.Votes: 0 0% 0%Helm's Deep: The Deeping Wall This level, although appearing simple, is actually quite difficult. When you begin, a certain amount of ladders will be up against the wall. Knock them down by pressing Circle. The diagram of the wall in the top right corner of the screen shows where the ladders are located. Soon, a large amount of Orcs will gain access to the wall. Eliminating the Orcs is a key to completing the level, but knocking down the ladders is still a major priority. An intermission sequence will follow, with enemy archers firing at the wall. After this, even more Orcs will pour in and ladders will go up more quickly. Continue to knock down the ladders, killing as many Orcs as possible. Another intermission sequence will have a catapult launching rocks at the wall. By this time, giant armored Uruk Hai will be present. Killing these armored behemoths is a must, but make sure you still knock down the ladders. Keep the meter in the yellow area and you should be all right. If it begins to flash red and white, the mission will fail.Votes: 0 0% 0%Fangorn Forest: Defeating the Orcs After you defeat the first Forest Troll, you will have to break a barrier. An intermission sequence featuring Orcs and other enemies throwing a Goblin into a pit. Your character will walk out, and game play will resume. Do not walk forward yet. Instead, pull out your bow and arrow and hit one of the Orcs with two curved swords and no shield. If your arrow is powerful enough, it will kill that one, but all of the Orcs will come after you. Watch out for the Orcs with no shield. They do a spinning technique that can hurt you badly and knocks you down. Then, they all start attacking you. Try to block that spinning attack.Votes: 0 0% 0%Troll types There are two types of Trolls in the game. The Forest Troll has a light color and has little branches of trees to throw at you. The Cave Troll is darker and does not carry branches. You can shoot arrows into the Cave Troll, but not the Forest Troll.Votes: 0 0% 0%Defeating Trolls In the levels with Trolls, you can kill them easily without getting hit once. Run up to a Troll after it has thrown a log at you or tried to hit you. Press Triangle once only, then run away. Do not run too far. Stay close, but not too close for it to hit you. Wait until it takes a swipe at you, then run back at it and press Triangle once again. Repeat this until it is dead.Votes: 0 0% 0%Defeating Lurtz Lurts starts by shooting arrows. As Aragorn, deflect them with your sword then fire a charged arrow at him. Keep repeating this until the intermission sequence where he grabs a sword from the ground begins. When he charges you, kill the minions that appear and try to hide behind one of the marble statues surrounding the arena. He will stab it, stick in, then be open for an attack. Use the Triangle thrust. Normally, two shots can be dealt and sometimes a third if you are lucky. Note: This is under the easy and normal difficulty setting. Also, when he rips his sword from the marble statue, it disintegrates, dropping health, arrows or other useful items.Votes: 0 0% 0%The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Tow... GlitchesWestfold: Blue light Get Aragorn's or Isildur's level 8 upgrade for Gondor Arrows. Play the level as usual, but stop when you reach the point where you have to explode the big "train" of dynamite at the end. Use your bow to blow them up, and keep your bow equipped (hold L1) until the intermission sequence begins. As the Rohan soldiers and you leave, there should be a blue light where the arrow would be, except you are now holding your sword.Votes: 1 100% 0%The Gates Of Moria: Blue light Select Aragorn with all upgrades or Isildur with all upgrades (at least the upgrade with Gondor Arrows).When you are killing the Watcher and his life is down to the point that one more hit will kill it, fire the last arrow. Hold L1 while it shows the ending sequence of the Watcher dying. When it shows you after the Watcher disappears into the water, you will that your character has a blue light where the tip of the arrow would be, only he is now holding his sword.Votes: 0 0% 0%Cave Of Moria: Weapon effect Play as any character. When fighting the giant Cave Troll, before he has enough damage to bring out his chain, hold Triangle until your weapon is on fire to do damage on his last strand of health on ground with his mace. Hold Triangle after the damage is dealt during the small intermission showing your character going on the second stage of battle.
