This code can only be used for new players that are created. Hold L1 + L2 and press Left, Down, Right, then press Square, Triangle, Circle at the create player menu.

In hold the court mode, go to the screen where you choose your court. Hold R2 and press Up, Down, Left, Right, Right, Left, Down, Up, and while still holding Up, press X.

Enter the "Enter User ID" screen, and get to the User Record box (displays either a user ID's record information, or "no user record'). Quickly hold R2 and press Up(2), Right(2), X. Alternately, win (complete all the objectives) hold the court mode to unlock a team that includes Graylien Alien, Magma Man, and Yeti Snowman.

Enter the "Enter User ID" screen, and get to the User Record box (displays either a user ID's record information, or "no user record'). Quickly hold R1 and press Right, Left, Up, Down, X. Alternately, win the City Circuit to unlock the Street Legends team. This team includes Biggs, Bonafide, Drake, DJ, Takashi, Stretch, and Michael Jordan.

Enter the "Enter User ID" screen, and get to the User Record box (displays either a user ID's record information, or "no user record'). Quickly hold L2 and press Down(3), Left, X. Alternately, get 30 wins in any mode.

Unlock Characters and Courts	To unlock new characters and courts simply win the different challenges in the circuit. Also, after you beat various teams, you get their star player as a selctable character.

NBA Street Items

During a game, get a Gamebreaker after getting alot of trick points. Drive down the court with the ball, being careful not to get it stolen from you. When you get outside of the three point line, let your defender get directly in front of you with his legs apart. This trick will only work if his legs are apart. Next, press Square and you should do a Left Behind move. This move takes the ball that goes under the defender's legs then pulls it back, leaving the defender clueless. After the ball is pulled back, there will be nobody to block the shot for awhile; you can just press your Turbos and shoot.

If the other team has a Gamebreaker and you have the ball, go to the other team's side of the court. Dribble and do not let the other team get the ball. When the shot clock is approaching zero, Shoot the ball from full court. Then, get the rebound and repeat. The other team's Gamebreaker will run out and you will have the ball.

Immediately after you have created your perfect player, you will realize that every member of your team has full attributes. This is very useful when you have the taller players who are less likely to make outside shots and perform advanced trick moves, and the players who are excellent ball handlers but are not proficient at dunkimg and blocking. Make full use of the opportunity and use your tallest players as the full attributes only lasts for one game.

This is helpful in the City Circuit for those who want a good record: If you are playing a game and know you are going to lose, select "Quit" in the menu, then select "Rematch". Your record is unaffected, which means you do not get the loss. Also, you do not have to wait for the game to load over again.

At the main menu, go to "Hold The Court" mode and press Start for both player one and player two. Do not enter a User ID for player two. Choose a team for yourself and for the second player. Choose your players and start the game. Player two will not score or move. When they get the ball, go up to them and steal it. This helps to win the Hold The Court mode, for a quick win, or to get a lot of trick points.

When heading toward the basket on a breakaway, hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and press Square. You should pull off an advanced trick move. While still holding L1 + L2 + R1 + R2, switch from Square to Circle. You should pull off the "Dinners Served". That two move combo will result in 18,000 trick points.

The best shotblockers are athletic tall players, such as Alonzo Mourning or Takashi. If you get those players, you will probably block every shot made.

To steal the ball easily, wait until you score. After that, the CPU passes it in. Go to the right side of the player that is getting the ball passed to him. When the CPU passes it in, try to steal.

Have one player play Hold The Court mode. While playing, another player can press Start and that person will have to play with the NBA Challengers team.

There are also four basic trick moves that are not listed below that can be performed by pressing one of the turbo buttons and Square.

- Backtrack: Hold L2 + R2, then press Square.
- Breaking You Off: Hold R1 + R2 + L2, then press Square.
- Change Up: Hold L1 + R2, then press Square.
- Cyclone: Hold L1 + L2 + R1, then press Square.
- Double Cross: Hold L1 + L2 + R1, then press Square.
- Downshift: Hold L2 + R1, then press Square.
- Off the Chain: Hold L1 + R1, then press Square.
- Slip 'n' Slide: Hold L2 + R1 + R2, then press Square.
- Streetwise: Hold L1 + L2, then press Square.
- Reel2Reel: Hold R1 + R2, then press Square.
