Greater Fiend Genshin
Fiend Genshin (FG) is a boss a lot of people have troubles with on MN... But if you know how to use the TONFA against him, this fight becomes a lot easier. Learn this boss. Study his attack patterns and combos for a while and learn what to block, dodge, etc. This may take some time. When you have all that down, now you need to study when to attack. Tonfa is one of the best weapons in the game and is one of my favorites to use in almost every situation. For this fight, you need to stagger him in order to get a good bit of damage done on FG. So, when Genshin finishes a ground combo, perform >T>T>T>T. Sounds easy right? Maybe. Maybe not. If you land the first >T and he doesn't stagger, STOP and get ready to evade. If you do stagger him, continue the combo like this: >T.. >T.. >T.. >T. You need to have a short pause in between attacks or it won't work. Other than that, that's how you take down FG with the Tonfa :) fun weapon and a fun boss. Good luck with it!
Liz (Master Ninja)
Liz... Oh Liz... Such a pain :) Okay for this boss, you have a choice. The scythe (yes, the scythe), or BOTA. The scythe is best for the noobies.. Hehe.. and BOTA if you're an expert.
Eclipse Schthe!
Okay, really easy. Keep your distance and charge UTs when she's on the ground. Don't charge if she's in the air or else!!!
BOTA! (Advanced players only)
This is going to take a bit of time, patience, and A LOT of practice. So be prepared... The best chance you have at withering down this bosses health is to do a 360T as soon as she's about to attack. Now... This boss is really quick and agile so most of her attacks are unpredictable until the very last second... I feel most comfortable attacking after her zoom attacks and her claw combo. Those are the best times to attack. After a while you can start 360Ts before every attack. It just takes a lot of practice. Definitely the hardest boss in the game and an absolute nightmare on Master Ninja. Just take it easy and take frequent breaks and eventually she'll succumb to your awesome ninja skills :) oh, almost forgot, when she does her blood draining technique in the air, it is possible to do a flying swallow and ground her for a short time. This rarely happens though and is almost not worth it... If you manage to pull this off, QUICKLY do >T(hold)x2 then a 360T. That's about it! Good luck... You'll need it.
Spider Fiend Loop
*This is only possible with a Level 2 or higher Eclipse Scythe as Graveyard Spin is not unlocked until then*
If you are having troubles on these spider fiends and just can't kill them, well there is a very cool trick! With the scythe, it has a quick 360T attack that staggers these fiends quicker than they can recover. Use this to your advantage and start spamming 360T over and over again until they die! Yes, it's that easy! You're not really learning anything from each encounter by looping them, but hey, whatever works right?
Genshin & Volf Loops
Here are two simple loops to use on bosses :)
Genshin:
Best weapon to use is Lunar Staff (you can use several other weapons too). When you see an opening perform the standard izuna drop for lunar staff. To continue the loop, start the izuna again when he starts to spin his legs before recovering. This cancels his recovery animation and he gets stuck in another izuna drop. Continue this until he is dead.
Volf:
Another easy one. With BOTA equipped, this boss can be looped until he falls to his knees. When you see an opening, start doing >T(hold) over and over again! Mess up and well, try again I guess lol. There's a catch though, if when doing the loop Volf comes into contact with a wall, the loop will cancel and he will counter with a hard combo on Ryu. So make sure to have plenty of room.
