When facing Shocker, try to blind him. Sometimes if this is done at the correct moment, both you and Shocker will die.

His shield will then go away and you must take out all of his legs. However, be careful. Then to defeat him, keep punching and kicking away.

If you want to free-roam, on the the first level you have to kill a helicopter. In stead of killing it just free roam. Don't worry, it won't go away!
