Start a one-player game and play until N. Boss is reached. Lose both rounds, then do not press any buttons until the option screen appears. Select the Vs. battle option. Use controller two to fight as N. Boss....
At the fight against N.Boss, press START on the second controller and use that controller to choose Bad Mr. Frosty as the character. This should put Player 2 in control of N. Boss....
