Hints, Tips & Tricks

Getting good players
In a quick game, pick your home team, then start a Virtual Slot Machine. You will get five random starters (unlocked and created team players can be used). Then, go to "Adjust Lineup" and substitute a player with a 90 or more rating for a player on your bench with a 60 rating. Do this as much as needed.

Classic players
To get classic players such as Magic Johnson, go to "Manage Roster" and trade a player with an All-star team. They can be used for franchise mode.

24/7 mode
When you play the harder levels in 24/7 mode and the players guard you very well, start at the top of the three point line and run to the left to the top left corner of the key (as you look at it). Then, run straight across the freethrow line to the other side of the line. Once there, run straight down the key line. Once you complete that, you are ready to run to get an easy dunk or lay up.

Easy baskets
Find a team with a small forward with good mid-range (for example, the Clippers, Sixers, Kings). Stand at the top of the 3 point line and call the pick and roll. When the pick comes, go left and the drive. If it works, your man will be out from the pick and the small forwards man will step up to you, leaving the small forward open for an easy two, or if they have good, threes you can step outside.
