As in the previous Dead Or Alive games, you may enter your age as "99" by going into your profile from the main menu. The female characters will be more "bouncy" than usual.



Press A to select a character, then press X, Y, or Start. Press A to start the match with the alternate appearance. Note: Not all characters have an alternate version.



Complete Story mode to unlock an alternate costume with the following characters. If available, the next alternate costume for that character will be unlocked when Story mode is completed again with them.

In the options menu, notice that you can choose different voices for the system announcer. To unlock additional voices, enter sparring mode and bring up the sparring menu. Select "Exercise" and you will be prompted to run through an extensive moves list. Once you complete it, that character's voice will be available as a system announcer.

To unlock the voice of Alpha-152, unlock the system announcer voice for all characters except Ein.



Complete single mode with the indicated number of wins to unlock the corresponding trophy.

unlockable Hayate: Moves

• for a good stun move.: Press Down/Forward, Kick, Punch
• for a rainbow-type flying kick. You must have a minimum two sweep lengths of space if you want this move to connect. It can be seen coming and thus blocked and/or countered.: Press Quarter Circle Back, Kick
• is fast and will knock your opponent back, thus providing space.: Pressing Up, Punch, Kick
• It is faster than the previous move, but if blocked it will leave you open for a counter.: Press Up/Forward, Kick(3).
• It is slow and can be seen at a distance which leaves you open to be countered or blocked.: Press Forward(2), Kick(3).
• It is very quick and sends your opponent flying.: Press Forward, Punch, Kick
• to floor them. It is just slightly slower than FPK.: Press Away, Punch, Down, Kick

Complete the following achievements to unlock the indicated number of Xbox Live Gamerscore points (1,000 total possible points).



Press A to select La Mariposa, Leifang , or Kasumi. Then press X, Y, or A to start the match with their alternate appearance.

• Kasumi: Press Y to have Kasumi with a high pony tail. Press X to have Kasumi with a low pony tail. Press A to have Kasumi with normal (long) hair.
• La Mariposa: First complete Story mode with La Mariposa to unlock her alternate appearances. Press Y or X to have La Mariposa without her mask on. Press A to have her mask on.
• LeiFang: Press Y to have LeiFang wear eyeglasses (which can be knocked off during a fight). Press X to have LeiFang in her old school braids. Press A to have LeiFang normal (long) hair.

More Dead or Alive 4 unlockables:

• Biolab Core stage: Successfully complete Story mode.
• Commercial video: Successfully complete story mode with all characters to unlock the U.S. television commercial for the game in Movie Theater mode.
• Ein: To unlock Ein in other modes, play through Story mode as Hitomi and defeat him at the end. After the intermission sequence you will be notified that Ein is unlocked. This applies to all modes but Story mode, as hidden characters do not have a story.
• Gen Fu: Play through the game as Eliot and finish his Story mode. After the intermission sequence you will be notified Gen Fu is now playable in all modes except Story mode. No hidden characters can be used in Story mode.

• Tatami stage: Unlock all costumes and system voices and complete story mode for all seventeen characters to access the Tatami stage, which has a floor mat with no walls.

Once this is done, you will face Tengu at the Ninja Hideout, but outside the tower in that pit. The "Jintsuriki" can be heard playing in the background.



On the Gamblers Paradise stage, if you have Xbox Live, have a motto, and are signed in, look at the thing that scrolls the message "Congratulations on the Xbox 360 launch!". Instead of showing that, it will show your motto scrolling across.
