Topic: Desperate Search 2.0
A very long time ago i posted a thread naming a few things about a specific game i was looking for, and was pleasently surprised with a name! I was full expecting no one to know what the hell i was talking about.
So, i'm back again with an even less detailed description of a game that is probably 6-8 years old. So here goes the description under Desperate Search 2.0
This is all i remember... and it may have metaphorical coffee stains on it.
Its an old rpg, possibly asain turned american, or american copying asian style. A kid lives with his grandfather, who tells him to go to the north to pick apples (or something like that) so he goes to pick them and when he gets back his grandfather is dead (or kidnapped) and his house is broken and destroyed. There are now monsters and such things everywhere.
I'm not expecting much more than a "Wtf are you talking about?" so dont feel bad or even bother appologizing if you have no idea wtf it is. I never played the whole game, it was just a small demo i got off of an old PC Gamer disk out of a magazine. Any wild guessess are welcome, even if they're horrible wrong and make you look like a fool

XD I remember something alot like that
the grampa thing sounds like jackie chan stunt master.
which also reminds me of another REALLY gay game
The Treasures of the Lost Kingdom and maybe.....

Unfortunately its not even remotely similar to either of these 2. It was a 2d zelda style "In terms of screen movement" nice try though, still waiting on that sucker on the tip of your tongue.
