I used to write game storylines and scripts for RPGs. I also used to make basic games with Visual Basic in my college days. Given the right tools, I can probably still create a simple game. What you're asking for requires a lot more than what would be here. Puzzles are one thing, they are relatively simple if you have a concept, but when you have racing involved you have to have people who know a LOT about physics.

resident evil was a game before movie so was mario bros i even got the old mario bros movie trust me the goombas in that were uggglay and the princess name was dasiy not peach
bit hard making a game becuase its mostly scripting all games use script as much as sprites sounds and music but all that is also scripted like gun firing sound playing of that gun and music playing when its suppos to

I just realised something......the the revival of this topic is strangly coincidental
anyway, the only way you can make a game is on PC, so
what I suggest is that you download Steam, and buy Half Life 2 (not sure about any other source game)
after you have downloaded a source game you can download the Source SDK (Source Development Kit) located under tools,
In fact I am downloading it right now
