First Brutal Legend Map Pack Free for PS3

Electronic Arts has announced the first DLC map pack for Brutal Legend, titled Tears of the Hextadon. The DLC offers two multiplayer maps, Circle of Tears and Death's Fjord and is available on November 3rd for Xbox 360 owners (at 400 Microsoft Points / $5). But the PS3 download will come two days later, and be free for a limited time (until November 19th). After November 19th, the price jumps back up from "free." We imagine it'll be $5 here in the States.

PS3 owners usually get the short end of the stick when it comes to DLC, but I guess Tim Schafer's genre-bending action game is also bending the DLC rules. And it's a good break too; I'm sure the 360 version of Brutal Legend will have the heftier online presence, so maybe this move will encourage those PS3 owners to get online. Then again, we're getting to the point where map packs no longer carry the excitement they once did, so the freebie could go to waste. Anyone else feeling map pack fatigue?
