Today Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers, announced that it will publish Gameloft's Asphalt™: Urban GT 2, a driving simulation game for the PSP (PlayStationPortable) system and Nintendo DS™. Asphalt: Urban GT 2 is developed by Virtuos and Game Source and will be available for the DS in November 2006 and the PSP in March 2007.
Asphalt: Urban GT has been critically acclaimed for its generous content and engaging game play and instantly became a hit new racing brand (selected 2005 Best mobile Racing/Driving game by IGN).
Asphalt: Urban GT 2 shifts into gear with six game modes, numerous tuning possibilities, 30 tracks and 36 licensed cars and motorcycles – taking handheld racing simulations to a new level. To keep the action hot, Asphalt: Urban GT 2 features music from Moby and music and appearances from the Pussycat Dolls.

Multiplayer Racing
Up to 4 players can race against each other using Wi-Fi wireless technology in 3 different multiplayer game modes:
o Single Race allows up to four players to race head-to-head.
o Championship mode allows up to 4 players to play some of the championship tracks from the solo evolution mode.
o Cop Chase is a 2 player cat and mouse mode where the cops attempt to capture and “lock on” their opponent for five seconds to claim victory.
Special Features
o The famous Pussycat Dolls band will show up frequently to encourage the player.
o The player can enjoy a jukebox feature to choose its preferred tracks including licensed music from platinum-selling electronic artist, Moby.
