Automatic recovery
I see some people online that fall off the track, then immediately get back on without lakitu (which is much slower). how do they do that?

It's internet lag. they only appear to fall off because the 3ds cant process the fact that they didn't fast enough.

It's possible. First, hit the up on the keyboard, not the joystick, then fall off and turn in the direction of the path (i recommend snes rainbow road for beginners)

There is 2 ways for this to happen: 1 is due to lag and 2 is though hacks

Ninja*Kat is correct. but I started to start getting better at it in time trials:Maka Wuhu. But most peeps do it on SNES Rainbow Road. Thanks!

If you fall of the track when lakitu picks you up if after 2 seconds you hold down a you'll get a boost very usefull tip by the way
