S-02 Battle... Help!

I'm at the part labeled S-02 BATTLE. It's driving me crazy! I can't attack or use Web Rush on the gigantic robot. I can only hit the smaller drones. If I can't attack the thing, I can't beat it and progress with the game. Is there a certain way to hit it? Please respond quickly. Thanks in advance.

Go a little bit close to the giant robot and throw the smaller robots to it then use web rush and so on
