How do you get the high points

Just started playing this game and I really like it alot! But I just cant seem to be able to get the high points that I see others getting. I realize I'm new at it but really...they get just a much time as I do and the same or basically same letters so how do they do this???

We cheat! No just kidding. Both players have the same exact letters in each round and to get a higher score you have to get the biggest words your can. After each game you can compare your words and score to theirs.
