How to do a turbo?

I have upgraded my turbo.. but I dont know how to activate it. ive seen the other kids on my screen running around in turbo mode

The Turbo ability initially costs 90 energy which is a lot and you don't normally get that high in a single race unless you're not using moonwalk at all or you're doing the longer tournament races. Anyway, once you actually have 90 energy points, the button will show up in the middle at the bottom.
