Question & Answers

Making Birds Lay Eggs

I made this enclosure in my house and put about 3 birds in it so I can have eggs. But they won't lay eggs. So, I put a thing of dirt 2 blocks wide and 2 blocks long. It worked right away, but it only worked once. Nothing happened after that. How do I get them to lay eggs?? Do they need a bigger enclosure?? Do they need more grass?? Do I need to feed them?? Do I need to do all at once?? Please answer my question! I need some eggs!

Just leave them alone and they'll lay eggs eventually.

To make them lay eggs you will have to make a quiet and probably a bigger enclosure about 5x5 big with grass patched everywhere would work, but you don't want your birds together as they annoy one another and never lay eggs.

If the birds touch anything living, they will take longer to lay eggs. They will eventually but I'd put only one in an enclosure. Or make it really big.:-)

I agree with the other answers, plus the building has to be a little bit away because if it's close the birds will be too scared to lay eggs.
