What do I use the stamina and agility equipment for when I go to compete.

A scroll through the hints menu reveals that:
Driving uses Agility
Jumping uses Stamina
Racing uses Speed
Trick uses Agility
Though it is better to use equipment specifically for the competition.
Appaloosa - longer careers
Mustangs - high Speed good at Racing
English Thoroughbreds - high Stamina good at Jumping
Hanover - high Stamina good at Jumping
French Saddle - Balanced stats
