Stone Collection

I have the Stone Cutter but how do you collect stones from it?? There isn't a floating hand or chest above it to collect... I've also upgraded the cutter to level four and no luck...

Instead of pressing upgrade, press one of the contracts (1x, 2x, 6x, etc.) The upgrades seem like a waste though, they take longer, cost more silver, and don't produce as much.
