Where exactly do you place the wires to charge the mp3 player? i tried putting them right where the arrows indicated and then scribbled on the coil and nothing happened.

Put the right wire on the right side of the mp3 player and the left wire on the other side. then scribble up and down like a lightning bolt. (this only takes about 5 minutes.)
