How do i beat the small, black, one eyed monsters in talus cave?

Using the Pegasus Boots, run repeatedly into it until it is unfrozen. Then, put your friend/other link in front of you; sitting. Then, using Pegasus Boots run behind them and into the slug beast. I haven't gotten any further than that to defeat it. Hope that helped!

To beat the end lvl 2 hero trail use the arrows for the statue then step on the block defeat each creature one at a time.
