To get past the dog i need to get a hobbit a drink, the hobbits on the party sign are supposed to fall over but they didn't, i play the ds version

I just done that bit, I jumped up a few times at one of the hobbits and they fell down then you can take the logs to the fire, boil the kettle and get the drink.
