I have been stuck on the part where i am in the thief's cave looking for the map. i haven't been able to find it and i really need to find it now that i am in competition!

You have to play record player and try to memorize the code then tap on the frogs in that order then the book shelves will open tada you have the map!!!

Go to the record player and then write it down. Then you will see a door open and then you don't do anything for a while and then you do what u got to do.
