In drawn to life the next chapter, i am having trouble knowing how to turn into a blob in crystal cave. what do i have to do?

Push the l button and switch to the blob form. (you have to buy the blob form at the item shop)

What you do is, you press the r button located on the back and the use the < > arrows to select the blob which is like a bus, and the switch back do the same but select the full body :)
