How to beat zola robot

Nobody knows how to beat the big one. you defeat the hydra guys that come up, then he bashes his fist down and you jump on it. but after that all that happens is you get blasted off. you can't attack the robot, or use your shield to block the blast or throw your shield at anything useful. it's just a flaw in the wii version of the game that no one can get past that point. that is why you can't find walkthrough's for the wii version of this game, only for the versions that are winnable like xbox and ps3. go to youtube and you can find video walkthroughs for the wii captain america game, but the walkthrough's all mysteriously end before getting to this part with the giant zola robot because they know that they can't defeat it and don't want to look bad on their walktrough.

The big robot is a toughy and started on him last night. Thought it was me, being tired and all but got up this morning and thought I'd Google some answers. I finally did it and just so we know we're on the same page, this was the Wii version and 1st wave you have to blow up his left arm, 2nd wave his right arm and 3rd wave there is 2 robotos and the woman to beat. I had at least 200-300 goes on the first wave nd then tried holding the control differently. Instead of holding from underneath, I clasped the control from the top and repeatedly pressed A using my finger that is next to my right thumb. I am a right-hander and found this worked better. Also on the 2nd and 3rd waves the beam started coming at me but I kept pressing A and eventually the beam started receding back to the robot and blew him up. Also there is another bit after you beat the 2 robots and the woman. I tried the old way and didn't work then swithched over and did it first time.
