Auto-save feature not working
I just bought this game from ebay, but the auto save feature isn't working for me. The game plays fine but I have no save data when I load it up after turning the gameboy off. Is the game faulty/broken? Has anyone else had to deal with this? Thanks in advance!

The battery in the cartridge is probably used for saving data and has now run out of power with age. Try changing the battery. I've done this before with a Pokemon Gold game and it takes a little delicate handwork. You can find some really good videos on youtube detailing the process and tools necessary.
