(for pkm gold and crystal)go to cerulean city in kanto. then go to cerulean cape and after beating the 6 trainers, keep going. you will find a house. enter it. there will be an old man. talk to him. he will ask about a few pokemon. when he asks you to show him a pokemon that is loyal. show him growlithe. and viola! you have a fire stone!
