Yes you can, what do you need is that you must throw grenades all the time.

You can get infinite dog tags and experience points at the "hold the city" battle in sicily, with which you can purchase all the first aid kits, weapons and ammo you'd like.

as soon as the battle starts, you duck to the right to go up the stairs and take out the german soldier on the bridge. as soon as you enter the stairway, kill the german coming down the stairs, go up the stairs and as soon as you look out the doorway kill the german on the bridge. you then have to kill 3 more germans on balconies.

after you kill them. (which is relatively easy) you can then shoot the germans on the ground for as long as you like, racking up dog tags, skill points, and even rank. they just keep running back and forth all day long, and until you cross the threshold of the other door at the far end of the bridge they keep coming.

This game is a pain in the ass due to the fact I spend more time buying medkits than actually playing the game.
